Title: How Many States of the United States
Post by: smithjcsdfw on May 04, 2011, 11:43:20 am: How many of the 50 States of the United States have you visited. I checked out with 38 out of 50 on my travels.

Post by: kapeh12 on May 04, 2011, 04:57:49 pm: I'm at 38 or 39 - just can't recall if our family checked our Maryland on our trip to DC when I was a kid. Most recent "new" state was visiting Alaska a year and a half ago on a cruise. Thinking that may be how I get to Hawaii in the future... ;D

Post by: LenoraMinogue on May 04, 2011, 05:56:45 pm: I've been through about 15, actively visited less than that though, more like 5. I love to travel though, and hope I can afford to see more of the country sometime. With the price of gas though, I don't know if I can fit that in any time soon.

Depends if you count driving though them as having visited. I travel some for work. I think 22.

Post by: lvstephanie on May 05, 2011, 07:02:17 am: Our Boy Scout troop back in New York went on a month-long road-trip out to the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Along the way we tried to visit all sorts of sites, like the St. Louis arch in Missouri; Football Hall of Fame in Ohio; the "Four Corners" of Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico; etc. So from that trip alone I visited more than half of the states. Couple that with family trips to California (both parents had conferences out there in two consecutive weeks, so while one was at meetings, the other would take us to see the sites), a family road-trip to Maine, a college swim-team road-trip from Minnesota to Florida, etc. I think I've figures that I've at least passed through 47 states (Hawaii, Alaska, and Washington being the only ones I haven't been in).

That about covers it all. 10 states plus our nation's capital. ;D
