There have been so many displays of natural disasters recently. Which do you fear most?
-
I would say any kind of storm, where there is rain and thunder and lightning. I'm especially afraid of lightning because I'm always using some kind of device that is wired to an outside source that might send an electrical charge on the device I'm using and shock me!

Days of rain which lead to flooding in the basement.
-
earthquakes.
I hated it when I was living in Japan. Pretty scary...
-
Tornadoes, we live in tornado alley and we don't have a basement. After seeing what happened down south :o
-
I would have to say earthquakes. I live in San Francisco during the 1989 earthquake. I was raised in tornado alley and I am fascinated by them. If I was still there I would love to be a storm chaser. I lkove watching lighting in the sky also.

I tend to have a healthy respect for all of Mother Natures displays. But the one that gets my attention the most I would have to say is a wildfire or a flood. You just can't hide from them.

I would say tornadoes and hurricanes. Where I live there is always a possibility of a hurricane or a tornado, almost all year round. I dread hearing warnings and alerts when they are approaching.
-
I would say tornadoes. :-X They are soooo scary and my heart goes out to the poor people that were affected in the south. May God be with them at these hard times. :peace:

Watching that tornado on tv (Alabama tornado) was scary, I never thought much about tornado's until I saw that one. Flooding is more of a concern for my location though---I don't care for deep water and never did so I'm not sure why I love to live so close to the lake. At the time I moved here, flooding really wasn't a concern so it never crossed my mind until I saw the movie "Asteroid" and then it's been in the back of my mind. The lake has flooded a little before and some of the roads that go by it were closed for a little while, it wasn't that bad. I'm seeing what Memphis is preparing for and that is one scary mess. I hope it's nowhere near as bad as what they are preparing for.
I live in alabama (but was not affected), and it has been crazy down here this year. The weather has been so strange. The recovery efforts are in progress and I hope displaced people get what they need.

Tornadoes are what terrify me. I live in Fort Worth and there was a really bad one here a couple years back and it hit my apartment complex. I hid in my closet and when it blew my windows out the blinds went flying and the closet door. Scared me half to death.

maybe an astroid attack perhaps :sad1:
