Title: All Daily Surveys coming up as - Reported Attack Page
Post by: home_teachin on May 08, 2011, 12:06:09 am
All the Daily Surveys send me to a page with this warning. Any idea what is going on? Anyone else get this?

Reported Attack Page!

This web page at partners.pantheranetwork.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.

Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

Yes I had the same problem.  I just clicked on "get me out of here" and FC credited me 15 cents.

i got the same warning!  I hope - sincerely hope - nothing got into my computer the past couple days - i wonder now if that's why i didn't get credited past two days running for my thought counts?  will fusion cash give everyone 15 cents if they leave the page?  are all the daily surveys doing this?

All the daily survey's are doing that for me too, clicked every single one - mythoughts, samplicious, surveyhead, 2 cents and ssi daily survey. I thought it was only limited to the paid to click sponsors but guess not :(

For those that DO NOT have Norton is it doing the same for you?

If McAfee, AVG, Avast etc users don't see the same error it could be that the Norton definitions updated and are giving false positives.

It has to be the router that FC uses. I am opening my inbox dollar survey notification emails, I've been routed to 2 of the 5 sites FC uses and they have all opened without error allowing me to start taking the surveys

I am also getting the same thing on the Daily Surveys...I use Norton and Google Chrome...no updates or changes to any of my settings..so I am guessing it may be an FC router issue as well.
Maybe later today it will be better, I'll log out for a while and come back later to see if I still get the warnings.

I am not taking any chances by clicking to proceed anyway..even if the sites they link to are working properly with no warnings when accessed from other services like Inbox or others, it may be that you could still risk getting a virus or something via the FC routing system.

"Reported Attack Page" came up for me when I did the Daily offer.  I did not stay on the page for one minute, but I did get credit for it.  I hope when I cash out next time this won't cause a problem because I have no proof.  I got little nervous with that bright red Attack! and I got out of there faster than the page loaded. Happy Mother's Day to all Moms :D

That happened to me today too.  I thought it was because I'm trying to switch to Firefox from IE but maybe that wasn't the problem.  Glad to see it's not just me. :BangHead: :BangHead:

It happened to me too.  Perhaps some hacker attached some malicious software.  Hope it's cleaned up soon.

Sounds like it must be an issue for everyone no matter what browser & antivirus software is being used. I am also using Avast and Firefox and just tried to see if I was going to experience the same problem. Sure enough....clicked on each one of the daily surveys and got the same "Reported Attack Page" message. Maybe it will be cleared up by tomorrow...hopefully!!

I got this too, but I just ignored the warning and clicked the "This isn't an attack page..." button in Firefox, assuming it doesn't actually have malware on it. After you get passed that initial webpage with the warning (usually it's just the loading page before the actual "start survey" page), it doesn't come up anymore. But seeing as it's fixed, yay!

That's ballsy that you ASSUMED it didn't have malware, hope you didn't catch anything.

Very glad they got it fixed today thou

Yeah, I wouldn't have assumed that it wasn't malicious, especially since it was happening with all of the daily surveys. It's better to be safe than sorry to miss out on surveys for a day!!

Nothing happened haha. I ran a virus scan after the survey and I found nothing. I'm not really hardcore about avoiding reported attack pages because I never get anything when I ignore the warning. Maybe I've just been lucky so far but any malware that I've ever gotten hasn't been hard to remove.

Really, I wouldn't take chances like that because some of them can be hard to get rid of!!

I tend to take the browser warning with a grain of salt.  It's run off of a special webcrawl from Google that "flags" suspicious sites and put them on the list.  My guess is these sites are being flagged due to the tracking algorithm they use to track back your surveys as google doesn't recognize the code, and therefore flags it as suspicious.

For known sites - like the survey sites, I feel safe ignoring the message - as I have 2 very comprehensive virus scanners/firewalls that catch pretty much everything, and I'm familiar with these sites.

If it was a paid click ad - then I'd be more cautious, as those are more unstable and can easily contain viruses.  However, I still trust my local apps which actually scan for viruses vs the browser that's not really scanning for viruses just suspicious tracking activity and inter-server communications.

I'm not advising people to ignore these warnings altogether - just providing information on how that site determines whether or not a site is an attack page or not, and let you determine if you feel more trusting in your virusware to risk ignoring or not.

From my perspective - I trust my local software over the browser warning, coupled with knowing the PC I use for these is my old PC so if it gets a virus and I have to wipe it, no big deal, so I'm more apt to risk ignoring the browser's warning.

Day before yesterday was the malware / virus risk warning
Yesterday no warnings or issues..although I could not qualify for any surveys
Today is a new issue...an HTTP error is all I can get when I try Tickets for Opinions and Survey Head.
Is anyone else still having issues with these???

The error looks like this :
HTTP Status 404 - /Chili/begin.do

type Status report

message /Chili/begin.do

description The requested resource (/Chili/begin.do) is not available.

Apache Tomcat/6.0.16

Yeah I've gotten it too, the page won't load because of my antivirus protection but I still don't like that coming up. I hope someone is looking into it and will post about it soon

@kapeh12......thanks for the info....sounds like you know your stuff when it comes to computers! Wish I knew more than what I do.....I've had what's called a "Google Redirect Virus" on my desktop computer for a while and despite all the research I've done on how to get rid of it, nothing has worked!! Now I'm to the point where I'd just like to reinstall the OS, but have never done it and am afraid that if I try it, I may really screw something up!! Just glad to have 2 other computers for backups!!
