Do you have a blog? Just wondering.
-
No, I don't have a personal blog.
-
Tumblr seems to be doing a lot of promos.
I have been interested in creating a blog of sorts but not sure with all the different ones out there.
Is there any favorites out there?
Any pros or cons of using any?

I don't have a tumblr but I do read 2 of them regularly. My friends and a guy from one of the bands I like. I thought about getting one of my own but I don't know what I would write about. Or if anyone would read it.

I have quite a few, actually! Tumblr's kind of a hobby and a sick addiction, lol. My main Tumblr username is thrillers, and you can see a list of my others there too.

what is "tumbir"? i;ve not heard of this.

Never heard about tumblr, so what is that?
-
Don't people generally post pictures and gifs? Seems like a waste of time to me.

That's what I thought it mostly was... and what I use it for ;D I love the pretty pictures.
But just because that's all I use it for (stalking and reposting fun stuff - mainly tv shows, movies, books, and artists I like), doesn't mean it can't be used for more "serious stuff" blogs.
The site itself allows a LOT of customization - so much so that if you don't look at the website address, going from one blog to another can be a bit bewildering with the layouts. So it can totally look 'not' like a tumblr blog if that's what you want lol
I think new artists, crafters, and writers could probably get a fair amount of publicity pretty quickly. Subscribing to people is very easy, as is reposting and linking to stuff, which spreads things to an insane degree. I'm not that computer savy myself and only really just joined, but the speed that stuff spreads was quite surprising to me.
You can also easily link to an outside website, so the tumblr can just be for news or specials or showing off new stuff and taking advantage of some of the spread.

I don't use tumblr. I used to have a blogspot, but I haven't used in forever. I don't really any purpose for one. If I have something to share that's aimed for various people then I'll use my social media site.

Me either. I use blogger for my personal blog and the blog where I share my online work experiences.

I decided to get one back in October I think. I've been posting/reblogging pics on it but I like to use it to vent. I hold a lot of things in and this is helping me get some of that stuff out. Plus the online support is nice.

No I do not. I never had one

I have never used it, but heard of it. Will definitely have to check it out, now that I see the positive reviews.

Never heard of tumblr. I was on blogspot but quit using it last year because I felt like I was giving my writing away, and also the blog's banner days are spent. Tumblr sounds interesting though. Will check it out. :) :peace:
