Title: New added feature to Forum
Post by: jwallbank on June 03, 2011, 04:54:39 pm
I received a thread to new responses to a forum subject that I posted to. Is this a new item that FC has added?? Not that I am complaining but, I have never seen it before today. I Posted to the forum yesterday and received the thread today for an added response to that subject!!

You will automatically receive e-mail notifications of replies to topics you have posted on if a certain box is checked in your Profile Preferences. Here's where you look: Profile/ Notifications and Email/ Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic. If that box is checked, you will receive such notifications. Personally, I keep this box checked to keep an eye on topics I am interested in following. The choice is yours, of course. Is that what you were referring to?

Good to know. Now I can delete my bookmarks for topics I started and want to check back on.

Rather than cluttering e-mail with even more messages, I know I don't need more (!), you can also just go to this link:
"Show new replies to your posts." It is at the top of every page to the right of your name.
Click on that and you'll have access to every thread you have posted in that has received new replies. It's MUCH easier than going back and forth from e-mail to FC in my opinion. ;)
