I had a good fourth of July I went to orchard beach with the family and enjoyed the nice cold water.
-
Just got back from the fireworks in our local park. Very crowded this year, maybe a lot of people stayed close to home.
-
it was good...lots of free junk food and fireworks....
interesting 4th of July coincidence: both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the only signers of the Declaration of Independence later to serve as Presidents of the United States, died on the same day: July 4, 1826, which was the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.
Other interesting facts related to presidents and 4th of July: James Monroe, the Fifth President of the United States, died on July 4, 1831.
Calvin Coolidge, the Thirtieth President, was born on July 4, 1872 (so far is the only President to be born on Independence Day).

:'( It has been a bad day. I was SO LOOKING FORWARD to spending a quite day with hubby ... but the day was NOT the way I would have liked .... so here i sit alone unable to sleep. :crybaby2:

My July 4th was cool. Had some bbq food, saw some fireworks, spent time with friends and some family. :D
-
It was pretty good. I went walking on the trail by my house with a friend. We walked all the way down and saw some cool artwork on the walls. Then I watched the fireworks from my front porch.
-
I worked the third and fourth, but did get a chance to watch some fireworks. The city puts on a pretty good sho on the third. Hope you all had a fun and safe holiday :)
-
I had to work a double shift :'( so my boss could have a BBQ with his family! BUT; the good news is
they kept bringing me so much food to say thanks; that now I have a Belly Ache!!
(or was that the "bad news"?) :sad1:

This was the first year that I just stayed at home and relaxed!!!! Did nothing.....Actually it was nice!
-
We cooked pork chops on the grill and watched baseball on TV. We found some sour cream with jalepeno peppers in it for our baked potatoes. YUM! It was a typical "old Folks" day but very relaxing. :)

Thanks for sharing these interesting facts. Uncanny how the births and deaths of that many of our presidents fell on July 4.
Our 4th of July was relaxing. We did some odd jobs around the house.
Played Bean Bag in the backyard,
Grilled some steaks,
and had a bonfire.

We had a great time with family and friends grilling and playing bags.

Due to financial strain we were unable to afford fireworks for ourselves this year. However, my 9 year old son and I went out on the back porch and watch others fire off theirs. It was nice, and relaxing. :)
-
It was fun...I stayed home and watched the neighbors fireworks. It sounded like a war zone cause fireworks were going off from all sides.
-
Mine was great. Had my son and his family up from Ft. Hood and we BBQ'd a couple of briskets, went out to the lake and met some friends who took us out on their boat and let the younger ones tube behinde the boat so everybody got to keep cool and wet. Than after the sun went down we watched the fireworks out on the lake.
-
I had a great 4th, very busy weekend spend time with family, time at the lake, time in the pool and fireworks. very busy schedule but it was alot of fun.
-
boring but i got to watch my tv, so it was all good
-
We had a great fourth of July. We went to Santa Barbara for most of the afternoon and hung out and ate. Then we set up camp at the beach and watched the fireworks. Really Fun...
-
Mine sucked. I had to work from 1:30 until 10pm last night. I missed the fireworks at Penn's Landing. The birthplace of independence. That's my home. For those of you who are really patriotic you should really come down next year to Philly's Welcome America Festival presented by Wawa. Free concerts, great food, the nice fireworks on ben franklin parkway or hangout at penn's landing. Look at me being a promoter for my town. I don't even get payed for it. lol!

It was great!! My husband and I stayed home...
-
My 4th was nice and quiet.
-
i didnt do anything at all :(
-
I actually had no plans for the 4th, I watched By the Gun which was a pretty good movie. Then just 5 mins before the fireworks went off at the highschool, I started walking down and calling my friends to see what they were up to. Ended up meeting with 2 friends of mine by the meadows outside the school. It was pretty good. Saw a lot of people I havent seen in a year after the show, they greeted me with hugs :P overall pretty nice night

I went shopping to the local store and save a lot of money. Most tags were 75 or 50 per cent off. I skipped the local parade at the park because it was very crowded.
-
It was wonderful. I actually did not do a thing!! A 3 day weekend of nothing...very relaxing!
