Title: Where is the ice cream man?
Post by: tashamjoy on July 14, 2011, 04:33:07 pm: I have not seen or heard the ice cream man around, i used to hear and see him all the time in summer do they not do this anymore ?

We could hear his music on the next block and knew he would be coming down ours next. I always got a missile pop, or an orange push-up. We would be standing in the hot sun with a death grip on our coins that made our hands all sweaty. The anticipation was agony.

it's funny you should ask. because when i was coming up as a child in the summer all you heard was the ice cream man ringing his bells or playing music. the good is not like they use to be.

Ours came last year, but this year I think they decided that the cost of gas was cutting too deeply into their profits.
