Title: How is everyone holding up in this 100 degree weather ?
Post by: aggiebaldaino on July 23, 2011, 02:58:47 pm: It is such a scorcher out there I carry around a rag so I can keep it wet and put it on my head and if a fire hydrant is open I go and jump in it and if feels so good . Went to orchard Beach yesterday and it was refreshing so I hope all will try to keep cool/.

I cannot wait until this heat breaks. My CAC has been on the entire day. It has not reached the degree to turn off once. It was about 4 degrees higher than my set this morning, then at dinner it was only 3 degrees above.

We now can keep our big A/C on 86 and just run our portable air coolers that run on water and ice and plugs 110 but only burn 60watts to run. So its feels like 76 instead 86 in house. We got 3 of them and at night it makes ya want to cover up its so cold. Check them out on amazon just type in portable air cooler we bought the 608 models but now they have 609 model. Worth every penny. They should be back on sale for uner $100 by now. Have great day. :thumbsup:

It's so hot in Texas, I stay indoors (mostly at work) all day and venture out in the evenings.

I love the hot weather. We routinely have 100+ and throw in occassional 110-120 days in the summer.
Come Visit! Everything has slowed down since the Major League Baseball All-Star game. You can get hotel rooms dirt cheap!

I would rather take off clothes than have to struggle with doing layers.

Post by: shamilton62 on July 28, 2011, 05:06:52 am: It was only really hot here last week. After experiencing 125 last year in SD, it didn't seem very hot at all. We have central air so sleeping isn't a problem.

I work for budweiser as a truck driver and merchandiser so I am in and out of the heat all day. One day last week the temp along with the heat index topped out at 129. Once I'm done for the day it's the shower and the AC !! Sometimes I hit the pool first but here lately the water hasn't been all that cool and refreshing with these temps.

Yes it's hot and humid....but when I brought my dog out....he LAYED DOWN on the hot asphault and relaxed...I kept laughing..anyway it's not like I LOVE the hot weather...I just like the difference because I finally appreciate the weather. Anyone in the north know what I mean (South Dakota, North Dakota, MN, WI, Utah, etc) ?
