I don't know if I like my mother in law or not. My husbands parents died before I met him. His dad died when he was 4 someone shot him, and on the way to the hospital he died and his mother was in the car and she ended up paralized and she died just before we met. But I like some of her sisters so I would think I would like her as well. It seems that all the sisters have the same personalities. I would want to think his mother would approve of our relationship and would like me as well.

Yes; I don't see her as often as I would like because she lives in Utah, but she is a sweet lady who kindly welcomed me into her family.

I love my mother-in-law. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met, with anyone in her life, not just family. She was quick to accept me into the family and we talk as often as I talk to my mom. I am extremely blessed to have her in my life.
-
Mine is okay and she lives on the opposite coast so I don't have to interact with her that often!
-
I have had two. The first one was a wonderful person. She never had a bad thing to say about anybody and would support me in anything I did, even divorcing her son. My father-in-law was the same way. The second one wasn't quite as nice. She was jealous of me. I tried to help her as much as I could, but it was never enough. She loved getting presents at Christmas, etc., but would not give anybody else a present.

I like her sometime but sometime I feel that I don't like her..
-
ehhh she aint bad

i love mine. my own mom passed away a few
years ago, so my MIL has sorta filled that motherly
role for me. we're very close friends and can talk
about anything. we're also both cancers, so we
get along on many levels...
i'm definitely very lucky and grateful to have her
in my life, especially from horror stories i've heard
about the bad ones!
-
Yes! I love my Mother in-law.... she is also a good friend...
-
We just barely got along. I haven't heard from her since i separated from my husband. She doesn't even call to ask about my daugher, her grandchild. :(

I am 36 fixing to turn 37 on the 5th of august and my wife is 76 years old and her parents are not alive so I don't know if I would get along with them or not. I get along with her chldren from a preivous marriage somewhat, and her sister. So i don't really know and I don't have parent in-laws and I don't know if this is good or bad.

Didn`t Used To Like My Mother-n-Law,But No She is a GodSend my husband is disabled i barely make 100$ a week and she allows us to live in her fully furnished basement for free we only have to pay our phone ,car insurance, groceries, internet bill and provide wood for our wood stove!

My mother in law passed on a few months before I met my husband. I so wish I would have met her and our children would have had the chance to have her in their lives.

I love my mother in law but..she tends to do some really messed up stuff..she is sweet then sour in a weird way..I always try to keep in mind I have her last born son and I think she wants the best for him but sometimes I think she wants what she was as a mom as a wife and she is sooo wrong..I am lucky that she lives in another state so I only see her once in a blue moon..But it takes work on both sides, keep communication always open..I always tell her when I think something she said or did was wrong or made me uncomfortable..It has made our relationship better and I do not have to think of her as the dreaded MIL LMAO

My mother -in-law is awsome. she give advice not demands. The best advice I can offer those who having problems or issues with there inlaws is not to allow them or her up in yall business. Stop going 2 her with the negative .Sometime all she really want is good news. ::) and 2 know everything is going good.

I adore my mother in law. I wasnt sure about her at first, but we've become good friends over the years. She's supportive, helpful and doesnt get involved if the hubby and I have an arguement. She keeps her opinions in that area to herself and its very appreciated.
-
I couldn't stand her because she was nosy. She has passed on. :(

My mother-in-law is a very nice lady. You can't always get along though even if they are nice. That is just how it is.
-
Well, my mamma told me if you can't say nothing nice it's best not to say nothing at all but I'll put it like this whoaaa nellie! That's a ride I pray to be too short to get on! I'll put it this way that's a scary woman. I can tell when she's coming 'cause the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. When I met her I started to think about that old Donny Osmund song, There must be 50 ways to leave your lover! Just get on the bus Gus, set yourself free!

Yes I do or did very much she died a few years back. We miss her very much.
-
I am very blessed to have a well intentioned mother in law. I can't say I always agree with her, but she is a very good grandma for sure!
-
i don't :P

I was terrified of her for a while because she always had this Martha Stewart thing about her. After the birth of my son I bonded more and I love her and finally feel like a part of the family. Funny how that happens with the birth of a child. Anyways, she is awesome and I wish we lived closer.
-
Lets be honest everyone. No one likes their mother in law. It's just a matter of how much you dislike your mother in law.
-
I love my mother in law. She is more than I could ask for.
My mom is bossy so it's hard to be around her especially ater my daughter was born. She lives in Japan so I don't get to see her much any way but still it's really frustrating when she comes visit us. But my mother in law who lives very close, she gives me advices but no demands. She is just the sweetest person I've ever met.
-
I do to a degree, but whenever anything goes wrong, she finds a way to blame myself or her other daughter-in-laws.
-
unfortunately, my husband's mother died when he was 8. I think of her often...wishing i could have met her. I wish she was here to see her grandbabies. I guess thats just how life goes sometimes.
-
She's the 2nd greatest mother I've ever had.
-
i am not sure that i have one a mother in law

i love my mother in law, i actually live with my in laws for 3 year. We moved out after i got pregnant, but that helped us out so much. We my mother in law and I had our moments but i have been with my husband for 24 years and we still get along. I guess I am just lucky to have such a Great Mother in law :)

My mother in law is the best. I am divorced. I've heard that when he brought his second wife to introduce her, she said "Get rid of her" and bring me Lorraine. (that's me)

I loved my mother in law. She was totally awesome.
She was going to teach me so much, all about the irish culture, even gaelic which I thought was awesome. She also knew latin.
Unfortunately she passed on with the rest of her family.
