I like e-music... At one time they really catered to indy music and off-genres (eg Celtic, Regae, etc. but not pop, rock, etc). When I first started with them, it was great; I was getting about 90 downloads for I think $25. Now they've enlarged their library with a lot of more popular artists (although still nothing too modern). And they changed from a number of downloads per month for their subscription to a more monetary based system, where each song costs under a buck (usually $0.49-$0.79 each). And a bunch of their albums are pretty low-cost too.

Whatever I can't find on e-music, then I'll just go to Walmart or Amazon; usually if I'm wanting something modern and really popular. Amazon is nice if you work as a Mechanical Turk and get paid in an Amazon account for work activities you do (although I haven't done this in a while).

I stick with Itunes.  Like the selection and prices are ok.

I really like amazon for music and like that it can be held in the their cloud in case computer fails ... everything you purchase is still there to download or listen to on any other internet connected computer. It's a great move on their behalf since you cant really do that with itunes that I know of. Itunes I use for podcasts ... that section is great!
