I received a 2 dollar bill at the bank the other day, well actually I saw the 2 dollar bill in their drawer so I asked for it with the rest of my withdrawal. It is dated 2003 and I believe the U.S. stopped printing them around this time due to low circulation/people collecting them. I've read that if people starting circulating these 2 dollar bills then they would be printed again. On the fence as to whether I should use it or collect it. I almost feel like it has to be something special to use it on. I can't just spend my 2 dollar bill on a couple tacos. Quite the conundrum. ;)

Yes, I do sometimes. I tend to keep them bc you dont see them often, but if I need to, I will spend it.
-
I do now. I used to think they would be worth lots of money someday but I think that boat has sailed. :o :o :o

I'm not superstitious, but I keep them even if they are badly out of shape and abused. Maybe I might use them eventually in an emergency.

I save mine although I have not seen one since I stopped counting money for our church.

There are millions of $2 bills in circulation. I have known some people that use them all the time. All you have to do is ask your bank. They can get you all you want from the Federal Reserve Bank. Have fun with them. :)

yes.

If I found a $2 bill, I would spend it but I don't think that's likely to happen. The one's I hate to spend are the gold $1 coins. They are just too pretty!

I do spend $2 bills. I heard a story from a college town where someone went to spend a $2 bill at a Taco Bell and they refused to accept because they thought it was counterfit. The worker went and got the manager and the manager never had seen a $2 bill either. The manager told the person that he was going to call the police and the man siad ok. The police came and told the workers that there wasn't anything wrong with the bills. Everything said and done the man got a free meal. I don't know if this is a true story, but I could beleive it.

I sure do. I belong to a survey site and they will sometimes send $2 bills as payment in the mail. I use those to pay my toll when I go to work. The toll is $2 each way.

It has been many years since I have seen one. I think I would keep it for a while if I did get one.
-
Yes I do save mine I put them in with my $1 coins. Trying to save them aslong a I can.
-
yeah i would spend them because like any "special edition" bill you'd have to hang onto that 2 buck chuck for a while for it to be worth more than two dollars.

That's quite interesting, I've received these 2 dollar bills every year. Since I have a vietnamese background, there is what we called Vietnamese Lunar New Years, also known as "Tet."
And we received red envelopes with money inside of them. Some cultures believe it is good luck to have a 2 dollar bill in your wallet, but others believe that the longer you have it, the worst luck you'll have. So I'd spend it quickly, since I am a believe of the spending it quick before your luck runs out. xD
I'm quite flabbergasted that some people have never seen a 2 dollar bill before.

Yes , you can spend the two dollar bill. I like to save the two dollar bill. I would like to give them to my kids.

That just reminded me of some things I have got to do today. Thank you.

No, I keep them.

I haven't seen one in years. I used to get them from the bank now and then and save them to take to Reno so I could buy a roll of nickles with each one.

Yes, I spend them. My sons used to get them from their grandfather who has passed away and they also used to get them from the local recycling center but they don't give them out anymore. We used to save them but in 2008 when the bottom fell out of our finances we spent change, $2 bills, anything we could get our hands on lol. We've made it though and no offense to anyone who doesn't believe but I have to give God/Jesus all the Glory.

I save $2 dollar bills Half dollars silver $1 and any coins that are not currently being circulated. The value will rise in the future. I plan to pass them down through generations and hopefully my children will do the same with their money.
