I happened to be in Walmart and next to a big display of school products was a column with slots for all of the schools in the area. Each school had a paper with the supplies needed by the children going there. I gather that all or most of the supplies were right next to the column. I also saw some lists in my grocery store. Very convenient for parents of school age children.

It's convenient if the store has all the supplies that are on the list. Every year, I have to go to 2 or 3 different stores to get everything they want on those lists.
At the end of the last school year, they sent home a list of supplies my daughter would need for this year. I started on it early and got all of it before the stores put out their lists. We looked at the one that was posted for her school and found out they had added a lot of items to it. So I was still scrounging around til the last minute to get everything together.

Our Walmart used to have the list display right when you walked in but I noticed too that they moved it to right next to the supplies which is very helpful. I went shopping with my youngest sister this year and there was only one item we had to search elsewhere for. Target only had 4 of the 5 colors she needed of pocket folders.
