Title: Firm or soft mattress?
Post by: sgluckadoo on September 17, 2011, 05:06:45 pm: I like to be in cushiony softness, but my husband prefers a firm and stiff mattress -ick. Which do you prefer?

It has to be in between I guess. just right, like goldilocks with the 3 bears. All you young ones probably won't know who goldilocks is, but it is a fairy tale that we read as little children.

Post by: froggylover227 on September 17, 2011, 06:54:04 pm: I prefer a firm mattress. Even though the soft ones may feel better at first, I think that they essentially are bad for your spine because they don't offer much support. Besides, sinking into a mattress just isn't my thing!

i have always wanted the sleep number bed! maybe one day i will get me one, but i do love a very soft mattress , right now we have about 3 of those memory foams on our bed which is really nice.

Post by: AMBERTAYLOR31 on September 18, 2011, 12:43:27 pm: i have to have a firm matress because i have such back issues. but a matress always gets soft and worn over time, so you would want to get a firm matress so that it will last longer. if you buy a soft matress from the door, then over time, it will get so mushy that you would just fall right through it.

Post by: lynnc35 on September 25, 2011, 04:50:44 pm: I don't know but this one is not like the one we had, I liked it better, he went and dug this one out at a dumpster, I am not kidding. the bed furniture was very nice and is. almost brand new, but I don't know why we had to have someone elses matress, the other one we had, I liked.

Post by: tallicadude on September 30, 2011, 05:57:54 am: waterbed for me. i've had a waterbed for over 20 years. regular mattresses kill my back and they're hot! i know it seems since waterbeds are heated that they'd be hotter, but my theory is regular mattresses hold onto your body heat more than a rubber bladder full of water can.
