Title: Random Outside Stuff - you know, that place with sunshine and grass?

So, how's everyone's weather?  ;D :P

Anything interesting happening in this almost fall season?

There's a caterpillar cocooned outside my kitchen window. Only took him a day to make himself up, wonder how long he'll stay there?

The squash bugs have taken over the garden. I'm not pleased. Might have went on a bit of a "Hulk SMASH" rampage earlier... maybe I should pick up more poison, but is there enough time left in the season to make it worthwhile (for the winter squash, I mean)?

The cane seeds that fell out of the bird feeder and sprouted have begun ripening and I'm starting to see birds near them.

It was a beautiful day, which I didn't get to spend outside. :-
And inside, I didn't even get around to making anything interesting food-wise. Sigh.

At least frozen veggies were on sale, .69 cents a bag, so I could stock up for the coming soup weather.

I love the changing colors, the cool, crisp air- love the caterpillars crawling around.... Just love this time of year. Good time for CHANGES....

Since I started my 5 classes in college, I no longer remember sunshine and grass....

What is this "outside" you speak of?   ;D

(Seriously though, we've had no sunshine for a week; just rain)

60 degrees here for a high today, which isnt bad but I am not ready for the winter up here in the heartland of ND

One day last week it was supose to freeze, It did get pretty cold but didn't freeze.  The next day I step out side can see mly breath so I decided that was it the weather would be cold.  I dug up my tomato plants and put them into pots thinking I would bring them in the house to save them.  Well the weather went back to being hot, my plants are alive but look bad.  The are still in pots outside.  Who knows in a few days I might be dragging them into the house.  I like the cooler temps, but winter can wait as far as I am concerned.  I am really hoping for a warm Halloween.

So funny - love to be outside and bird watch.  The fall weather here in souther ohio is great after a trully funky summer, hot and rainy.  The trees are just starting to turn, the birds are doing their weird fall things as they collect themselves to move south  and the air is truly wonderful with the smell of leaves turning gold and red.
