a suburb of a city, or a small town, or a rural area?
I live in a suburb of a large metropolitan area. Technically, my suburb is not that large, but it is sandwiched between a city and other suburbs so it is a continuous residential area.

Small town USA - population 3500. Largest local town is around 10,000. Closest City is 2 hours away- St. Louis.

I used to live in a small city. Now I live in a city.

I live in the suburbs. I can be in the city in about 10 minutes but I hate the city so I don't go there if I can help it.

Well I live in a small town in Mississippi, and I love this life. I big city life scares me, and if I could go I would be excited, but I would go just to shop, and come home. I do not like a crowd, and I am a home body... :peace:

I live in the city, but one day I would like to have a farm. I would like to start farming fruits and vegetables.

We live in a very small town about 30 minutes from Pittsburgh. Best of both worlds!

Hah, same state! :star:
I currently live in a small town. Used to live in a tiny ittsy bittsy spit of a wanna-be town (like, couple hundred people sized). And in between those moves, we lived on a farm right next to conservation land.
I'm not really a fan of cities :P
Nice to live here though, as a majority of family is around here and we can go bowling on weekends and on deal days and just pop out whenever we want to the store just down the street.
Still kinda wish I could have a goat though ::) :P

In a very small rural town, and HATE IT! :'(
I'm used to living in a big city, where everything I needed was within walking distance. Now if I need to go to the store I have to drive a minimum of half an hour, usually longer. I also am having a hard time finding skilled services like plumbers, electricians, etc. Everyone says city people are rude but I find it the exact opposite. I wave hello here and people don't wave back, they just sit on their porches and stare. I loved apartment living in the city, our neighbors were fun and friendly. I'm having a really hard time and miss home :'(

I live in New York City, Brooklyn to be exact. I love it here, but it is getting to be a little to much for me.

I live a rural area. I really don't like the city or even the suburbs. I like not having many neighbors.

I live in the capitol city of our state. It's not the largest city in the state so I think it still kind of has a home town feel. I grew up in a small town not far from here. I like the city better.

I live in the country and love it. While I like having towns close by for shopping, etc, I don't like dealing with a lot of people every day. I like the peace and quiet of the country, and being able to live my own private life without nosy neighbors.
