Title: What do you serve for Thanksgiving dinner?
Post by: vmcutshall on October 08, 2011, 10:06:57 am
I generally serve both turkey and ham depending upon how many people I have coming. I like the traditional side dishes as well as new ones, for example green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes.  I have been trading traditional sweet potatoes for sweet potato fries.

I go all out for Thanksgiving! I usually have 30-45 people. I make turkey, ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, my special corn bread, jello with bananas in it, green bean casserole, squash, carrots & homemade dip, ham/cream cheese/pickle rolls, crispix mix, meatballs and little smokies in sauce (grape jelly and chili sauce), pumpkin pie, apple pie, chocolate pie, cherry cheesecake, caramel pecan cheesecake, homemade fudge (3 kinds), puppy chow, and of course cranberry sauce, homemade banana bread, assorted pickles, olives and rolls. Oh and I make everything myself. I only ask my guests to bring whatever they whatever they want to drink.

Usually turkey with homemade mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, stuffing, green beans, dinner rolls, sweet potato casserole with the marshmallows melted on top. For desert is homemade pumpkin roll.

Turkey, green beans, mac n cheese, dressing, cranberry sauce (I like the kind in the can, don't care what no one says) rolls, and last but not least sweet potato pie.
