Title: who do you root for in football
Post by: aggie49 on October 16, 2011, 01:47:12 pm: i root for the giants and the jets and my guy roots ravens we have a great time sundays and mondays watching it together

I bet things are fun around your house the last weekend in November! ;) My folks joke that the only way they could get people to come to their wedding was to hold it during halftime of the OSU-MI game. LOL

Post by: mattc4000 on October 20, 2011, 02:51:52 pm: I root for the Patriots.... but unfortunately they play well in the regular season and have trouble in the playoffs. My fiance's family gets together every Sunday to eat food and watch the game. Love it!

Post by: AdamH1978 on October 22, 2011, 09:31:22 pm: The Redskins and whoever is playing any of the other teams in the NFC East, especially whoever is playing Dallas. The Redskins are getting better or at least that is what I keep telling myself. :- I don't even want to watch tomorrow's game against Carolina. They are 1 and 5, but not as bad as their record would indicate. Just the type of game that the Redskins seem prone to give away as of late. If John Beck turns out to be decent then their is hope for some football from my team.

Post by: amstewart on October 24, 2011, 06:38:45 am: I'm not much of a football fan, but I have a husband and 3 sons who are. I especially like watching my own kids play. I root for their favorite NFL team, which is the Kansas City Chiefs, and college team, Iowa State University. Other than that, I tune out the games that are constantly on.

I've actually been a Vikes fan all my life, even when I was young and lived in upstate NY. My dad is from MN, and all of his relatives still lived in MN at the time, so for x-mas and birthdays my uncles would send me Viking, Twins, and North Stars apparel. My dad also disliked anything to do with NY city, so the only NY teams I could root for growing up were the Bills (and Sabers in hockey). Since I also went to grad school in Buffalo, the Bills have also been a second favorite team (and this year with the Vikes being so bad, I've tended to search out the Bills games more often than not).

In college, the U of MN (home state) and U of Iowa (my parents are both Hawkeyes and met out there).

I go for the dallas cowboys not that im a die hard fan but my boyfriend hates them so i get a kick out of rooting for the other team

Post by: vicogden on November 02, 2011, 01:33:09 pm: I'm an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. For the pros, I like the Vikings, but also watch a lot of teams on TV when former Iowa players are playing (like Shonn Greene, AJ Clay, Dallas Clark, Chad Greenway and lots of other former Hawks)...
