Title: Posting banners on Myspace

Can you use the banners that are offered to get referrals on websites such as Myspace. I know you can't spam with email or bulletins. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to use it on the web site though.

Hey Fish - I asked the same question when I started on here!! I was told that yes, you can put it on your page - but do not blog it or post bulletins for it - but on your own page is fine....good luck!!   :dog:

You can just do it in the right forum sections to make sure you do not get penalized.  :thumbsup:

I put it on mine and I got spam like crazy..I was worried after I heard about how people were using your and stuff and messing with your accound referals to where you look fraudulant! I took it off quick after I heard that! Thank god it didn't mess with my account though  ;D[/color][/b]

Actaully Myspace has their own way of saying that referral links are not aloud, they do this by changing the referral link into a link that look similar to this: http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3LmZyZWVjb2Rlc291cmNlLmNvbQ==
it then redirects you to the Myspace page. So I take it that you cant post them on your profile itself, now for putting it on your Myspace blog I don't see how that is spam since nobody is forced to look at your blog, and you can also make it so only certain groups can view it. Plus they don't change the links in the blog section, so maybe that means it's okay to post referral links there?

This was the response I received from Kohler when I asked the question:

"Some people become friends with thousands of people they do not know just so they can send out their link via a message or comment. That would be against our rules because you are spamming your link across to many people for the sole purpose of getting them to sign up under you.

Simply putting a link or one of our banners on your personal Myspace is not a problem at all. "
