Title: Not For Kids
Post by: gabgirl12 on October 24, 2011, 07:13:29 am
Some sites are definitely not for kids. I have children around me at times and one of the offers called elitemate links to some horrible *bleep* online. Can this be removed? Its unnerving to have some sites you sign up for and for them to be inappropriate. Dating is harmless but reading things like that caught me completely off guard.  :sad1:

This site does not have very family friendly images to say the least! It also hasn't credited for me. The best thing I can tell you to do is to hit the red x at the top of the offer. That will hide that offer from your current available offers.

Did you access that site here on FusionCash?  I have never came across anything offensive, yet, on this site.

I completely agree with you, the EliteMate page is hardly more than *bleep*!

Maybe there should be some form of little warning symbol to let FCers know that it would probably be an offer that would be more appropriate to do alone.

In the description of the offer and site it does say "Note: Some explicit content; 18+ years."
I would say that qualifies as a 'warning', yes?

the only thing you could probably do about that is click on the red x on the top right of the offers to hide them.

Take your kids complaint seriously to protect your kids from internet predators and cyber bullies. It's not about over-reacting - it's about being there to support your child if he or she ever becomes a victim of internet predators. Watch your child for signs that he may be troubled, upset or scared. Don't belittle his feelings or the threats he receives, summing it up as child's play. If you want to protect your kids from internet predators then stop the harassment before it becomes a bigger problem.

I haven't noticed but I usually stay away from the offers except for the daily e-mail and the paid to click.
