If think of your food and exercise like a bank. If you didn't do anything other than be around the house, you would burn about 3,000 calories. If you ate 3000 calories then you would neither gain weight nor lose weight. If you ate more than 3000, you'd gain weight and less than 3000 you'd (of course) lose weight. A 2000 calories a diet without any excerise you would lose about a 1 lb a week.

I lost 25 lbs using this method with the help of a cell phone called "Fat Secret." Which helps me track exercise and food intake. Even does restaurants. Unfortunately, I have gained a good chuck of my weight back since my auto accident and have not be able to make any exercise deposits, so to speak. I realized it a bit too late, but have made adjustments to my dietary to my meal plan and she be back to losing weight in no time.

All the best

I have been yo-yo-ing with weight for years. Finally have started a sensible way of eating right. I found diets don't work because yo can't stay on them forever. I have changed what I eat, how much I eat at one time and am drinking water. I really have to watch my carbs because I am a carb addict. I really read the ingredients in food. Try to stay away from processed foods and eat more fresh vegetables. I make meals ahead of time and freeze them That way I have my own frozen dinners. I also have started eating a low fat breakfast instead of grabbing a danish or pop tart. Exercise is the key. Even if you are limited, there are plenty of exercises you can do sitting down, driving or just standing. I can't do high impacts running or aerobics but walking is a great exercise. I have lost 8 pounds in a month. I am trying not to lose more than 2 pounds per week which is a healthy goal. I would like to lose about 15 more and than keep it off.

I walk with my son about 3-4 times a week. He enjoys looking at all the cars, trucks, an buses. Now that he can make a vroom vroom sound it makes our walk so much fun! I do a 30 min walk. I kinda diet and kinda don't. I watch what I eat but I never not eat anything if i'm dying for it then I indulge. Try exercising with a friend. It makes it more enjoyable.

One interesting thing I learned recently is unless you exercise while you lose weight, you lose both fat and muscle, but when you gain it back, it's all fat. That's why exercise is so critical as part of your weight loss and supports why you need to change your lifestyle and not just crash diet, so it stays off.

It is so hard to get motivated at times. I have been on both sides. I weighed over 200lbs 6 or so years ago. I got a job watched what I ate and got down to 145. I felt good. Then i lost my job and I am home all the time. I have no motivavtion and I am close to that 200 mark again. But from past experience. Just try and cut down on portion sizes. Eat fruits and veggies. I just recently started taking fish oil. Also drink plenty of water. Half of your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 180 you would be drinking 90 ozs. of water. also just start walking about 30 minutes a day. I found walk away the pounds to work quite well. It takes time to get into a healthy way of eating so make small changes a little at a time. Rome wasn't built in a day!!! Good Luck!

Check your blood type and go to a site about "blood type diets". You'll be amazed at how fast you can loose weight when you follow the diet for your body. I lost 8 inches and 50 lbs in 2 months just by doing that and added a mile walk every morning.
