Title: Has anyone ever been on a paranormal investigation?
Post by: catwell2 on November 16, 2011, 12:14:46 am
Being a pretty big fan of Ghost Hunters, I jumped at the opportunity to go on a paranormal investigation with a team in my local area last Saturday. It was cool to learn how to use all of the equipment and such a neat experience overall. I have found myself thinking most of the time since then. I was just curious if anyone else has experience doing paranormal investigations and what your experience was like.

I have never been on one but I like to watch the show on TV.  I do think that most of the equipment is overly sensitive and they get false readings a lot of the time.  But, who knows? :bootyshake:

Yeah, at first I thought it was kind of scary, but then I was just genuinely interested in what we were doing. I was trying to ask a lot of questions about the equipment we were using, because I'm still skeptical about some of it. The EMF detector had different modes labeled things like "recent ghosts" and "older ghosts" and even after being explained what that meant, it still didn't really make any sense. I mean, how is some little machine supposed to know if a ghost is older or not??

I've been on many "ghost hunting" expeditions and I've gotten a little creeped out by the surroundings, but I have yet to see any hard evidence that lets me believe there are spirits among us. I've experienced what some people view as paranormal experiences, but I need something to explain it for me because I still don't believe them fully.
Also, I believe that EMF detector is a fake. There's no way to measure the age of electromagnetic fields/waves.
