Title: Where are you going to shop on Black Friday

Last year was my first year working black friday or being out at all on black friday for that matter. I was amazed at the crowds. The store where I work had a literal line around it and had to have police there to make sure not two many people were in the store at one time.

Post by: dbsaus1 on November 18, 2011, 01:41:58 pm: Online! I can save Myself some aggravation and shop online. Many stores are offering free shipping. Last year I was able to complete(almost) my shopping for my son and my husband on black friday before I left for work.

Long lines, people pushing and shoving, kids crying, rude drivers...I don't think that there is a worse day in the year to contemplate shopping. You spend an extra two hours longer for the purchase of each bauble. I don't think that the savings is worth it and the Hype is absolutely over-rated. Time spent excersizing with the family-working off the previous day's calories is a much better way to spend your life.

Post by: mattc4000 on November 18, 2011, 07:48:08 pm: Already trying to pull together an all assault plan for Black Friday. I think most of my shopping will be done in the middle of the night at Target, Kohls, Best Buy and probably my local mall once it opens in the morning.

Post by: loriecampbell on November 23, 2011, 01:17:33 pm: I've never gone Black Friday shopping in my life. I've always hated the idea of getting up early to go out. And fighting all the traffic and people being in the way every which way I turn does not excite me at all.

And just a tip...Macy's is having awesome sales. You can get things there for same prices at Walmart. Like right now they're having 20%, 30% and some things for 60% off.

My family & I always go out on Black Friday .. that is the only day we go out XMas shopping!!
This yr we will start off @ Kohls @ midnite, then move to Best Buy & then hit the mall (Macys has awesome deals this yr) !!!!!

But we are braving them this year, and trying to get all our Christmas shopping done. I have seen some ads and we have pretty much already figured out everything we are buying, so we don't go and spend tons of money! :P We are definitely going to Best Buy, Target, and WalMart. Does any else know of anywhere else that has any good items on sale? We are mostly going for toys and electronics.
