Title: Where do you Guys Advertise to get Refs?

Hey all. I have like 10 refs, and I like getting them (who doesn't?). Anyway, I was wondering where you guys look to get them from.

I'm on a lot of forums, but it seems that teenagers aren't too keen on doing this. It seems like it is primarily adults. Does putting paper ads around help at all?

I don't have any clue where to advertise.  I tried to join a couple forums but it was waaay too confusing for me.

I have the banners on both my Facebook and Myspace pages, but, I don't get much from them.  I think paying per click or paying for advertising wouldn't be worth it- especially since the response is unknown.  I know lots of people blog about it and get people to click that way- I actually found the site from some guy's blog.  The more specific you can be, the better though.  I know the one I used had quotes from the site and everything, so I trusted it enough to visit the site (thank goodness I did!)

whoa 10 refs..i suppose like you can bug your facebook friends or try to get refs on yahoo answers

It seems I have closer to 20 now, so it seems to working :-)
