I usually cut up chuck roast, add onions, carrotts, potatoes, sometimes parsnips, sliced water chestnuts, canned tomatoes, peas at the end, and whatever else I have on hand. I probably make it different each time.
-
I've not tried tomatoes in beef stew. I'll have to put some in the next time.

I use beef stew meet, tomato sauce, and mixed vegetables of corn, green beans, peas, carrots, and onions. Sometimes we add in potatoes, but lately we have been doing it the easy way. And of course, my husband has to have corn bread with it! We had this just last week and it totally hit the spot on a cold night!

Beef stew sounds great right now. I use beef stew meat or roast, if I have beef boulion I add it for extra flavor, onions, carrots, potatoes, stewed tomatoes, and corn starch to thicken broth. It tastes great.

We love beef stew. I put in chuck roast, potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, beef broth, and will thicken sauce with flour or cornstarch
-
Usually use bite sized chunks of meat, potato, and carrots, sometimes celery. I like to have green beans in it and sometimes corn. For the liquid it's usually a combination of juice from the meat, beef broth, and water from the canned vegetables plus sometimes we put stewed tomatoes in it so that liquid goes into it as well. I also like to add noodles.

I like to use lots and lots of chicken. It gives the beef stew such a unique taste. No one can figure out what makes it so different, but I guess I let the cat outta the bag now. Maybe next time I'll try pork!

I put everything I have in the house, except the kitchen sink! Mostly celery, onion, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, and just for kicks I put in what I had left of the frozen stir fry vegetables. Turned out really good. Oh, and I added a little garlic powder too!

everything but the kitchen sink! any leftover veggies we have always works great in it!

Besides the typical ingredients, (beef, veges & potatoes) I make sure to include a generous amount of garlic, onion, cilantro & a few other fine herbs & spices. mmmmmmmmmmmm.........
