Title: Jewish in a Christian world.
Post by: MichelleHW101 on November 29, 2011, 02:45:17 pm
I went to Halmark to look for a Jewish card for my father.  Now my mother, her side of the family and my brothers are all Christians ranging from Roman Catholic (the majority) to Protestant (my older brother).  I and my father are Jewish.  I walk up and down the aisles of Halmark and there are rows upon rows of Christmas cards.  There’s even a hole section of Spanish Christmas cards.  Hidden in the back row (where I had to shove some wheeled crates aside) was a small ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ Jewish section.  To make matters worse half of that Jewish Section was filled with cards for a Jewish/Christian house hold.  I ended up finding a small shelf that had Jewish tissue paper and a TO/From gift tags.  I bought those and will look elsewhere for a card.  The best one they had was the one I gave him last year.
