I was in Target today and saw Valentines stuff out. I hate that :BangHead:
-
 lol really what state are you in i live here in georgia and i have not seen that yet
-
Christmas decorations time is over, so time to get ready for the next major market holiday: Valentine's Day! :icon_rr:
Makes sense to me. Did you buy anything?
-
Wow! That is just a little bit tooooo early for that, lol. Usually you would expect to start seeing Valentine's stuff sometime around in January, because that is when they start putting it out early.
-
I live in Maine and oh yes the valentines stuff has been out for a couple of weeks now..Everyone have a Merry Christmas!
-
That's commercialism for you. Got to make a buck.
-
They had a little bit of stuff out ( Tennessee)
-
I haven't noticed anything around here yet....I'm sure its coming quickly.
-
That seems way too soon.
-
I have yet to see this in stores, but... good for early shoppers? Aahahah! :angel12:
-
same here.
i work at party city and we're always reworking
the store to fit the seasons. as soon as christmas
is put away, they have to replace the empty wall
and shelf space with something...
and it's valentine's day, st. patty's and easter
all at once :(
-
ew. Thank God I haven't seen any of that stuff around here yet. Some places go overboard on the amount of holiday stuff they put out.
-
And? After valentines, its time for Christmas stuff again.
Christmas music in July is one of the reasons I don't listen to the radio anymore.
Presidents and Martin Luther King, move over; you don't generate enough revenue--especially in this economy!
Of course you can always make up your own holidays to see if they catch on.
-
It is amazing how commercialized the holidays have actually become.
You can't really blame the stores ... we buy the stuff.
They figure the earlier they get it out .. the more they will sell
This year I saw Christmas decorations in the stores before we even hit Halloween.

I know, people are in a RUSH ??? why do they want time to pass fast, don't they get OLD as time passes, :dontknow: :bootyshake: why don't they enjoy the Holidays - I LOVE Christmas, and I know many people throw their trees as soon as they open their gifts many on Dec. 24 midnight, they don't even wait till the 25 , as for me like I said before I love Christmas and my tree is out till Jan. 7 after the 3 kings Mexican traditional celebration - Don't care what others say or think, if they don't like it, just don't look at my lights. :angry7:
-
i think it is crazy but it happens with all the holidays not just valentines.
-
I used to think that getting the next holiday stuff out before the current holiday was over was pretty pushy. I now realize that keeping merchandise out there for people to buy is keeping other people employed. It is a good thing. The early deals are nice and an opportunity to start thinking about your loved ones early so you don't miss the holiday. We can think negatively about anything or we can find something positive to see. Our thinking takes the most toll on us and our lives. It is with ourselves that we have to live each moment of each day. I make the choice to do that with as much happiness as possible.

I was at Winn Dixie and next to the Valentine's Day candy was Cadbury chocolate eggs. Too funny. :bunny:
-
And some of the stuff is probably last years left overs.... I mean this years...lol :bootyshake:
-
I was in Target today and saw Valentines stuff out. I hate that :BangHead:
I only hate it because I have no one to give the stuff too... lolol :BangHead:
-
Just like all the other holidays, the stores keep putting holiday things out earlier and earlier. Plus, Valentines Day is only a month and a half away.
-
:BangHead: We've become a nation of consumers at the mercy of the merchandisers. Until we change our thinking and "needs" they will continue to target us at every turn.
-
Yes that's how it is. Once one holiday ends, they quickly set up for the next. Looking forward to seeing all the Christmas clearance sales!!!
-
I don't like the way they put the holiday items out so fast but what can we do. It would be nice to get through one holiday before they put stuff out that is two holidays away. Like at Halloween time we see Christmas stuff out. Oh well, that is what the world has become.
-
That happens every holiday. They always do that. It's all about the money.
-
You have got to be kidding it is not even new years yet!!
-
gets earlier and earlier every year....i like in the olden days when it would sneak up on us
-
Well I'm not surprised since Christmas stuff goes up the second Halloween is over!
-
OMG. That's just disguisting. But not really shocking. I saw them prepping spring attire/materials at Hobby Lobby last week. Already had Xmas stuff on sale. Amazing. Sorta encourages you to start late on decorating for Xmas when it's on sale the week before LOL
I personally think people shouldn't blow money on Vday. Special days happen all the time, why wait for the world to recognize it as a lovely day? Show people and tell them you love them everyday that you feel like it ;D
-
I thought about that too like wow people do blow alot of money on holidays. I do enjoy the extra attentin I get. By why cant more men just give flowers cards and candy just for fun.Just to make us smile? Not because of some made up holiday.
