I love reality tv shows. they are my guilty pleasure. most people probably think it is stupid, but this is my way to escape the real world. What are your thoughts on reality tv? ::)

Some are better than others. The only thing that I dislike about TV in general is the foul language on there.

I think some of them are getting a bit ridiculous now though. I have never really watched them, but now there are just so many on so many different channels. I saw there was one about bootlegging and one to find bigfoot. Who comes up with this stuff? Some of them are fine, but there are a ton of them that are just unreal. :sad1:

I HATE THEM!!!!!!!! Unless you consider the shows that are on the history channel reality tv because I watch them all the time. At least you learn something by watching them. The ones that are on MTV should be banded. They are AWFUL!!!!! :angry7: :angry7: :angry7:

some are just plain stupid...WHAT DOES AX MEN HAVE TO DO WITH HISTORY? i cant understand why a show like that is doing on the history channel :BangHead:

I like shows like the amazing race and survivor. But i can't stand other reality shows.

I used to watch them until I finall realized, that most of it isnt reality at all. My reason for thinking this is that most people would not be the way they are if there was not a camera watching them. It may or may not be real, this is just my own point of veiw, and not to be taked personally. :dontknow:

"Reality" Shows are the biggest fraud. I'm not talking about game shows like survivor, big brother. Shows like Housewives of (fill in city), Basketball/baseball/football wives, The Hills, Jersey Shore..... They all have a WRITING staff. Why would you need a writing staff if everything was just unfolding in front of us?

I don't mind reality shows, but I hate "Teen Mom" and "16 & Pregnant!"

Shows like Housewives of (fill in city), Basketball/baseball/football wives, The Hills, Jersey Shore..... They all have a WRITING staff. Why would you need a writing staff if everything was just unfolding in front of us?

I agree. MTV claims to be shedding a light on this problem. NOPE. They are glorifying it. I am certain there are girls out there trying to get pregnant to be on the show.

everything goes into the 'editing' room before it broadcasts.

They are a cop out for real quality television.

8) Growing I, like othere, watched TV to escape reality. "Reality" shows are contrived and show a manipulated view of reality. I don't watch them.

I think it completely matters on what type of reality show you are watching. Some are totally addictive, others are just stupid and are made to make people look stupid. Not into the JackA** or Cops type shows. Very much against the full shows that just seem to show fight after fight. Guilty pleasure is Jersey Shores, but even I will admit that I am curious if this will be my last season of watching that.

I actually dont really watch reality tv besides the kardashains but thats it and they are not "reality" they are scripted !!!!

:bootyshake: I like hoarders, hoarders buried alive (which I think is no longer on) and gold rush - those are the only two I like as far as "reality" shows. The Kardashians and shows like the bachelor and such I can't stand. But Hoarders of any kind including Animal Hoarders I am intrigued by. :BangHead:
