Title: Dealing with SPAM
Post by: tslater1 on January 02, 2012, 06:26:30 am
:dontknow:  Read this on  one of the old topics and hoping maybe one of the experienced FC members can verify the accuracy for all of us new FC members. I know for me my email is FLOODED daily on here, and if this is true I am definitely going to try it! I assumed that if you used a different address than what you were signed up with FC with that you wouldn't be credited for the completion of the offer. IF you know the answer to this please help! Ty

Most of the stuff on here is safe. I personally don't trust the downloads, but many people do them with no problems. You will get a lot of spam email, which is why it is good to get a few new email addresses to use when doing the offers.

I know that some people here have a message devoted only to FusionCash.  I wish I would have thought of that when I first started to avoid all that spam in my main email address.

I don't have issues with spam.  I have an email account that is strictly for Fusioncash email.  Happy New Year!

you can always sign up for a gmail address...and have your email forwarded to it.  gmail is REALLY good at filtering spam :)

I got one email which most of  my sign up offers go to.  I do this to avoid most of the spam.

You can use any valid email address to do offers, (as long as it is your address), so I have several addresses that I just use for doing offers. This way, the spam will end up at those addresses, rather tahn my main one. The ting you cannot do is use one email address, then repeat the offer using another address. Offers can only be done once, unless otherwise specified.

Thats a good idea!! I should do that.

I don't understand how that works. If I signed up with FC with my main email address, then how do I use another for offers and get credit?? I am really tired of all the spam and unwanted emails, too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

@ laine39:
I can't explain HOW they do give you credit when you use an alternative email address for offers, but I can tell you that it IS possible to do so.
I've done it and gotten credit for more than a few offers that way. Just make sure that your other email address you choose to use is a valid one, and then make sure that you check it if any of the offers require you to confirm after sending you an email.

IF any of the offers don't credit when you do this, I wouldn't automatically assume that it's because of using the other email address.  Sometimes offers just don't credit.

Another tool that Gmail provides to combat spam is filters. Search YouTube for some tutorials if you don't understand how to use it.

You can use Google 10 minute mail which keeps you from getting spam in your inbox. I almost always use it when signing up for offers, unless I'm sure I am actually interested in the offer.

I think having an email address solely devoted to fusioncash is the way to go....wish I would have done that before I joined.

It's still not too late, just change it. At least when you do more offers they won't add to what you already have and eventually you can filter a lot of it out.

Like oldbuddy said, you can still change your email address here at FusionCash. Just go to your account page on the left side and update it. I use Gmail too.....works well!!!

A couple of domains that I bought came with google apps and I am SO pleased with the email part.  I have it set up so I can use anything I want as an email address.  I always use the name of whatever I'm signing up for because then I can tell if they sell my email address.  IE: livesample@mydomain or ticketsforopinions@mydomain.  Since it's google apps, the email is just like gmail but it's my domain.

I don't really care. I have a gmail account and organize my important emails in the Important section. Besides, I have 3k spam every month (hundred per day).
And I already have 19,500 emails in my inbox. Doesn't really annoy me to go through them, unlike real mail.  :P
