been scolded by the drive through employee stating that the change on the ground was hers. Which is an out right lie b/c no other employee would allow change that was dropped to sit on the ground for hrs even through rush hour. If she couldn't get the change she could have instructed another employee to collect it. No other employee have said anything when I pick up change through the drive through. No other drive through fast food places have said anything about dropped change ever. In fact today I picked up 11cents! I think she was lying to me b/c she wanted the change as well. I'll ask my big sis about this, she started working at a fast food place in her teens now she's a vic pres. banker. Thanks FC family for letting me Vent! :peace:

I agree with you. Money on the ground in a parking lot is for whoever picks it up. If it was enough for the employee to worry about then they should send someone to get it. :)

I worked at a fast food place and did drive thru when I was a teenager. If at some point change was accidentally dropped, we certainly were never allowed to pick it up until there was absolutely no one coming through drive thru; especially during rush hours.
I don't understand the rest. Are you getting out of your car while in the drive thru line and picking up change? Is it busy when you're doing it? If so, you are doing those employees a disservice. Most fast food places time the drive thru orders, and employees will get in trouble if the times are too long. To them, those few seconds you think are unimportant are rather critical.
