Anyone have tips on biting? My son (19mths) has bit 3 kids in the last 2 mths, 1 boy and 2 girls. He'll run up to them, grab onto them like he's giving them a hug then bite them on their cheek.
I mentioned this to his doctor, suggesting that maybe it's cause we were taking away his pacifier and she said it was a disciplinary issue. Now we don't hurt our son by any means but he will get a smack on the hand and scolding when he does something wrong. He did bite me awhile back and on the advice of family I bit him back and he hasn't done it to me since nor did he do it to anyone else til yesterday when he got the 3rd kid.
I appreciate suggestions!

My son is 10 months old and has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth. When ever his dad is doing something and doesn't pay attention to him he bites him to get his attention. He also does it to me when I'm watching TV with him. He starts biting my hand. I would also like some tips on how to handle this situation.

it's a phase that all children go to. When my kids bit, they were told no sternly, that hurts, and put in time out ( 1 minute for each year). It didn't happen but just a few times.

Thankfully of my 3 children none of them were ever biters. All 3 tried while nursing and when I jumped and pulled away it scared them.... they never tried it again (While nursing). However, my youngest thought she would try it (She wasn't quiet 2 yet) and she found out real quick that biting lands her in a time out. She figured out real quick that wasn't where she wanted to spend her time and didn't bite anyone again. Just like anything with kids...consistency is key.

Bite him back maybe when he sees how it hurts he'll stop.
