i love the pool but i like the ocean just don't like when your trying to get a tan and people kick sand on you plus the ocean makes my hair feel so nasty
-
I like to swim in the lakes. its the one nice thing about living in michigan
-
I like the pool just to swim but if it is really hot, the beach is great place to hang out.
-
Don't like the pool. The chlorine gives me a headache.
-
I prefer a pool because I don't like feeling living things on my feet....
-
Beach.

pool

I like the beach much better. The pool is too unnatural with all the chlorine. I don't think it was meant for us to swim in a cocktail of chemicals.

Whereas nothing toxic gets dumped into the oceans?
-
I prefer lakes. Not a big fan of pools (had one and never used it!) and the beach is ok, but something about it that doesn't really thrill me. Lakes are more peaceful to me...I like relaxing on those beaches!
-
I love the visual of the beach but honestly prefer the pool. No dealing with sand, seaweed, other critters. The beach is more fun as an "event" than to actually swim.
-
I would much rather be at the beach, because of the beautiful sunset's and hearing the waves crashing on the shore is relaxing, while i would be sipping on a cool refreshing drink, while lying on the beach!

prefer da pool
-
I like the beach -
-
I'd rather swim in a pool; I'd rather walk along a beach. Honestly though, I don't much care for the "salty sea-breeze"; I think it stinks.
-
You can't leave footprints in the sands of time if you're sitting on your butt at the beach. And who wants to leave
buttprints in the sands of time?
-
i'm not a beach type of person. and the pool really isn't my cup of tea. i like jucuzzis... feels so good
-
Definitely the BEACH hands down! But I prefer it when it's empty and the sun is going down so that I can walk by the shore. There is just something the beach that just relaxes me, just forget about EVERYTHING! I LOVE IT
-
i dont like the way the sand stick to everything so i prefer the pool, but only when its my own. that way i know how clean the water is and i control the chemicals that are in it and in what amounts. living in southern california, me and my kids spend pretty much everyday in june, july and august in or by our pool :)
-
I'll take saltwater over chlorine any day
-
That's a hard decision the are both good the only thing at a pool you don't get sand in everything.
-
Being that i'm in Florida I enjoy the beach. I'm not a strong swimmer so i'm very careful to not go out too far. I do prefer swimming in a pool though. :fish:

I prefer beaches and lakes over pools.
-
I love to swim. I'd rather swim in a pool ... if there wasn't chlorine
-
I prefer a pool. i'm not a fan of the sand in everything, esp. my toes. Plus I feel more comfortable being able to see my kids through the water, instead of a black hole. If we are at a beach, they have to wear life jackets, even if they can swim.
-
I like the beach because there's more to do there then just swim
-
I prefer the beach, because I absolutely love the air, the sun, the sand and the waves. The ocean is alive, a pool is dead!!!
-
I'll take a nice warm sandy beach anyday :) love the waves & watching the sunset/sunrise & the way the ocean smells!
-
Both, swimming in the pool, hanging out at the beach.
-
I say beach because the ocean sounds ate so relaxing
-
If I want to swim, then I want to go in the pool, generally. If I want a relaxing outing for an entire day that includes swimming, then the beach.
-
pool
-
The beach all the way. So much more to do with more space. It's like an endless sandbox for everyone with nice waves.
-
I like the atmosphere at the beach but I prefer to swim in a pool!! I love to tan at the beach!! 8)
-
The beach, of course. wish i was there now.
-
I prefer the pool because the chlorine makes the water clean. A beach closest to me is Lake Michigan unfortunately. Ugh.. people treat the lake water like a garbage can. I remember last summer when I went to the beach, I saw a Subway wrapper floating on top of the water. Nasty!
-
Every place that I vacation usually has a pool and sits right on the beach so I have the best of both worlds. I used to prefer the pool but, of late, have been enjoying the ocean more because my children absolutely love it. Once I get into either body of water I am usually in for a minimum of four hours and it takes everything to get me out. I grew up in Wisconsin and it seemed like you couldn't go five feet without falling into a river or lake...or bar! Now, living in Colorado, I have to drive several miles in order to get near any kind of water that isn't chlorinated.

::) I like to LOOK at the ocean because of its great beauty - I like to swim in pools because I don't like going into the ocean because I am afraid of sharks and jelly fish and getting swept out in the ocean by currents because I am not a good swimmer. So there you go. I don't swim in lakes here in florida (although I did when a kid) because of alligators, snakes and parasites that kill folks every year here. MMMNNnnn apparently lol I have a lot of fears. :crybaby2:

I am from Savannah, were we go to the beach all the time, so I prefer the Beach, but living in Atlanta now we go to the pool, but when I go home it's the Beach!! :)
-
I prefer a pool. seems cleaner.
-
Since I don't swim.......... I prefer the beach. You can wade and pick up shells! ;D
-
i like both the pool is usually closer but the beach is nice if you enjoy the sand
-
If I had to choose I would have salt water to chlorine water. Pools I've been to have been extremely packed. There have been beach sands that have been crowded, but the water has been manageable (as long as I'm not stepping on something sharp).
-
The beach equals long walks on white sandy beaches, pool equal lounging in the sun with a drink in hand. I like them both.
-
pool. no having to deal with obnoxious people.
