I have just seen pictures of them. They are a cross between a tiger and a lion. The baby ones are so cute.
-
I've never seen one except in pictures.
-
Are you sure you didn't make that up? I never seen one, and hope I never do!
-
I've never even seen pictures of one. Are you sure they are real, and not just a photoshop creation? I didn't know you could cross two different species of animals.

I've seen a liger on an animal show.

Only if the father is a lion and the mother is a tigress, that it will be a liger. If the father is a tiger and the mother is a lioness, the offspring will be a tigon. The offspring of a liger and tiger, is a ti-liger.

A mule is the offspring of a male donkey and female horse.

I had no idea it got that in-depth (the ti-liger) and I honestly didn't know about the mule! You learn something new everyday!

I can't say that I have. I would love to work with animals but don't think it will happen. I don't even know why I am posting because they won't accept my emails

The first time I even heard of a liger was in the movie "Napoleon Dynamite"! But I've never actually seen one, or seen a picture of one either. I'll have to google it sometime!
-
I haven't seen a liger, wasn't aware of them until this thread. I've seen pictures of toygers, they are a small breed, domesticated cat that resembles a tiger.
-
I have never heard the term before. I am going to look online to see what they look like. Learn something new everyday. Thanks

I was looking at some pics & info of the ligers online and found "tigons" also...(pictured below: a "liger", a "tigon", and I'm not for sure what the spotted one is...)
-
I've seen ligers on tv and a video on Swagbucks but I didn't know they could have offspring. I figured they would be sterile like other hybrids.

Thank you MessiahMews for posting the Nat'l Geographic video of the Liger.
First time I saw one ... beautiful and OMG when full grown they are huge.
