I say Yey.
I've designed several tattoos for friends and family, but yet to get one myself. Once my brother gets back from Iraq (his plane arrives in the USA 10 AM tomorrow!!) he is going to take me to get one to thank me for all the tats I designed for him.
If you don't like tattoos, why? If you do, or if you have one, post a pic or at least discribe it if it is not G rated.
-
I have one and am going to be getting two more in the next few months. Well, definitely one, maybe two if I can find someone to draw my idea out for the other.
I love tattoos and want a sleeve and backpiece.
-
What is your tattoo of?
The one I am getting is my "Ode to Motherhood". I don't think I could post my drawing for it cause if anyone on here is offended by a mother nursing her child then, yeah, you do not want to see my tattoo.
As if you can't guess, it is of a mother nursing a child. But not a literal depiction. Imagine a tribal figure meets an abstracted stained glass window. That's the style of my tat. No details but you know what it is.
-
i actually wanted to get a tattoo but after i met my husband, he won't allow it because its forever he says. jeez. lol.
-
YEY!!!! Next month I am headed out to Vegas. We are getting tat's when we get there. I would love to get Angel wings on my shoulder blades, but think that might be to much. I have a tribal on my lower back. I got it in1997 before the "tramp stamp" became popular. I would love to get a moon right above it. Or get my son's date of birth somewhere. I am not sure yet. :angel12:
-
Yey I have five the moment believe I will get maybe one or two more before I am done though lol
-
i say yeah for the simple fact but there not 4 every1 and do become very addicting
-
Mine is pink angel wings with Sara written in Katakana underneath it. It's for my sister who passed away.
-
i've got two....and know my next three
-
The trouble with tattoos is that if, 10 years later, you get divorced and want to remove your ex-husband's name off your shoulder, it can be a fairly painful and expensive process!!!
-
I say yey! But I can see where some people might not think so. For me, I don't have any yet but I have a few picked out. I think it's something you should think through. I also don't think I could ever get a name of someone (unless it was a child or friend/family member who has passed) because you never know where life is going to take you and you might not want "Fred" on your butt in a few years....
But yeah, it's a yey for me.

thats why you never get names ;)
the only names i would ever have tattooed on myself would be my kids if i ever have 'em
-
I say Yey! Tatoos are one way you can express yourself...I have 3 and I love them all. The only advice I would give is to think about your day to day lifestyle. I work in a corporate office, so I made sure to have mine in spots where they wouldn't really be seen and considered unprofessional.
-
I say Yey, I dont have a Tattoo but I like them and plan to get one
-
Not for me, but no hate for those who like them. It is an art form, so I can respect it.
-
tattoos a great way to express the inner being of yourself i think. i love em.
-
I say yey also!
They look really cool! ;D
-
i say yey,, me and my husband both have them ,
-
A very big YEY! I think tattoos are super sexy. My hubby-to-be is planning on getting a few and I can't wait!
-
I say yay... I have about 14 and am planning on getting lots more :female:

That's very good advice that I wish some people would take into consideration. A lot of people put all their energy into picking the perfect tattoo but then just have them put it wherever.
I think the back is a good place since the types of shirts you wear to a job would cover it up.
-
I designed this tattoo back in the late winter/early spring of 2003. So I've been sitting on this design for 6 years. I still want to get it just as bad now as I did when I designed it. I am going to get it on my back, between my shoulder blades, and have the names of my children listed below it, basically one on each vertebra, because my family is my back bone.
-
Nah for me, but to each their own. I cant think of one thing i'd like forever inked on my skin
My dad had 20+ tattoos from the military and other places, but always talked against them.
-
I don't really say yay or nay. I do have one, but do have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes I like the way it looks to have one, and the meaning behind mine. Then other days I wish it wasn't there and so irreversible. It's on my shoulder so it's easily hidden, but when it comes to having to wear a dress it's hard to find one that will cover it and still not look like an old lady dress. I hate looking at my wedding reception pictures because the dress I wore for it showed my tatoo. It was even more "illuminated" than normal because I tried covering it up with makeup. oh well. :dontknow:
-
I've got a black and red Eye of Sauron on my right shoulder. No good pics of it, sorry. I'd like to get another eye-themed tat on my left should in the not-too-distant future.
-
For me its a Ney.
I don't like the look of tattoo's or percings (beside earings). It ruins the natural beauty of the human body. Its amuseing how some people spend all kinds of money to keep their skin looking nice, while others don't mind permanetly marking it up. :P
-
I'm totally for tattoos BUT I don't like the ones that seem as if they have no rhyme or reason. I have mine in descrete areas. I won't get them where they are visible. As you get older, for me, it would seem that a star on your neck would be uncool but one on your shoulder where it can be covered, works.
-
i say yeah. i dont have any yet but i am planning on getting a few. the first one will be for my son who got killed in a car accident in 2007 havent quite got the design i want yet so that's why i havent got it yet. i want it to be in his memory.. he was only 16. :sad1:
-
I say yeah too. I have one, and I definitely want to get more. When I got my first one I was ready to get another one, it made me believe how some people say they're addicting.
-

I'm sorry to hear about your family's loss... :(
-
hey landjholm would u be interested in designing a tatto for me for my son? let me know thanks i have a few ideas just not sure how to put it into a design.
-
Ney. I don't really like them enough to get one. It is definitely not for me. If my kids wanted one I will be against it completely. I don't have anything against anyone how chose to get one though.
-
aT fIRST i WASNT INTO THEM BUT KNOW I ONLY HAVE ONE AND ITS ON THE BOTTOM OF MY BACK SO MY ANSWER IS BOTH I GUES LOL
-
Yep. One is a portrait on my best friend, which is my Rottie , who just passed away at the age of 12 and the other is a huge upper back Native American/Dreamcatcher piece I drew about three years ago.
-
yey!!!! i currently have 27 tattoos but soon will have more!!!!
-
nope dont have any tattooes and never palnn on gettin them
-

Sure!
-
I have 2 tattoos, & I love them both :)
I have a giant squid done in color on my left hip. It stretches all the way around my hip to my lower back. I absolutely love it. I also have a very small geometric seahorse behind my left ear. Not a lot of people see that one, I just think it's cute :)
I doubt I will ever get more. I've thought of it, but there's not really anything else I can think of that I'd want permanently inked on me/or a location I can think of to put it!
-
yes for that. if you think its worth it =)
-
I say ney. They are permanent and what will they look like when you get old and wrinkly.
-
Ahh, but if I live to be old & wrinkly, I hope that I will be enjoying my days & reveling in my past & won't care what my old wrinkly skin looks like ;)
-

My thoughts exactly. Since mine is going on my back, I will never technically see it without the aid of the mirror... so I don't care what it looks like. Only the people sponge bathing me at the rest home are going to see it and I have a feeling I am going to be the ornery type of geezer that won't care.
-
Tatts are cool. I mean If they are meaningful. I dont think you should just put random things on u for no reason. I have one tattoo. On my shoulder. It says Q2 and represents my name and nicknames.
Im wanting another 1 or 2 or three but havent decided on what yet
-
haha :icon_rr:
-
I have one its horrible, im going to get it covered..most of the time you can get them covered..or you could get them removed..try to get something you really like :angel11:
-
the one i have is chinese writing it is supposed to say princess but a chinese person told me it says something else..i hope to get it covered soon
-
My husband has 5. 2 of them are red and black stars. The other 3 are for our kids. Our daughter's name in Hebrew (where her name originated), the DC shoe symbol (our son's initials are DC) and a dove because our youngest son's name means Dove. I like them all but I have to be honest that I think it takes away some. He didn't have them when we got married and I kind of miss seeing his "virgin" skin ;) I do like what he chose to have put on his body though. I have talked about getting one with our anniverary and the name of our song but I'm just not sure. I would definitely say if you're not sure don't rush into it!!
-

I would check and see if it means princess in Japanese first... maybe the tat artist confused the two languages.
-
hey : landjholm my email is odoms6598@yahoo.com i tried to email u with no luck.. please get in touch with me about the tatoo.. thanks :notworthy:

You've got mail my deer.

.try to get something you really like :angel11:
Yes, always do this. Also, get something original. So many people end up getting generic, cookie cutter tats and many of them regret it in the future. If you pick a nice design that you like and have a good artist redraw it to your exact liking, you are sure to have an original piece that nobody will ever have, except you.

I agree with this very much! That's why I am designing all the tats I will ever get, and why my friends and brother come to me to design theirs.
My brother did get a tat that I did not design, he saw online. It is a "soldier's tombstone" by Shane Hart I belive. It's a machine gun with his barrel stuck in the ground surrounded by skulls. A helmet is on top of the butt of the gun, and dog tags are hanging from the magazine clip.
It takes up his whole length of his back. However, to make it original to him, he had the tat artist add another skull, and he is having me design a background of a war scene so it will cover his whole back.
-
absolutely yey as long as you are for sure you'll always love the tattoo
-
Hey landjholm Did your brother make it in? Did he take you to get your tat????
-
I am conflicted about tats, yes I have 2 and getting 1 more. The 2 that I have are nice I have one one on my left ankle of a rose and a butterfly with my daughters name under it, I like it but it hurt like hell. The other is a tiny one it's my wedding band and it's very plain with my husbands name one the palm side that one hurt way more than the other one. The last one I want to get is of a tree frog on a dirt bike with my sons name somewhere, but I haven't found anyone who could draw to my liking plus the pain factor. OK now why am I conflicted, I do understand that its art and that's all cool, but part of my family on my dads side are covered with them because they were free and my sister who is 3 yrs younger than me had 52 tats and they were not nice ones that was 5 yrs ago. All I can say is I will be the one laughing when we are all old and all those tats are stretched out and gross looking...lol
-
Don't get a tattoo you're going to regret it.
-
I say Ney.
-
I say nay... just a personal preference.
-
Hey landjholm Did your brother make it in? Did he take you to get your tat????
Yes, my brother made to the USA safely on the 4th, but he is stuck on base in SC until April. That's when he has his vacation, and he will then come up here to be with family before he is shipped out to his next assignment in Japan.
So I will be getting my tattoo in April when he comes up.
-
Don't get a tattoo you're going to regret it.
thats not always true...just a matter of opinion. i have to and no regrets. looking forward to getting a few more.
-
ney
coz everybody in my family will start labeling me as a bad girl and they will wont respect me as much..
its permanent!!! and the color fades away as time goes by, so it wont be as cool
-
i think tattoos can look tasteful on some people. on others, i think they look tacky lol, but it doesn't really bother me, bc it's a form of expression...i think people should be able to do what they want to their bodies. i don't think i personally will ever get a tattoo though.
-
Yey and yay! If you love something that much, why not display it
-
I have 3 Tattoos and I'll be 50 on my next Birthday. One is on my leg.....a heart with my Husband's name. One is on my back.....Betty Boop dressed as a Witch with Witchy Woman above it and the other is on the top of my right hand.....Pentagram with Rose through it.
-
I say nay: dont ruin your skin to show something you may support
-
I say Yey. Its a freedom of expression for most people. For others its a form of a cultured belief, some areas believe certain tattoos are a form of protection, identification, and "style." I completely believe tattoos are a form of art and a form of art history being around for so many years.
-
nay: God gave us our bodies and I believe that we shouldn't "modify" or change our bodies b/c God made them in his image, and we may be defacing our body by putting tattoos on it. You don't have to agree with me; this is only what I think.
-
Yey!
I have 5 right now and going in soon for 2 more.
I lived in a very strict family and I remember my "mother" telling me "not till your 18". Oh Boy! She should of never said that...lol. I have more then just tattoos..but that's another topic..lol.
-
I say yay.I want to get a tatoo of a hot pink heart with Neon Green outline on my foot.I was going to a few months ago but I chickened out. :sad1:
-
I say Yes yes yes!
I have 3 tattoos, along with upper bites : ]
I think Its unique and sexy! :D
-
yey, I'm about to get my first with my tax refund
-
i say yey i have a tattoo on my shoulder of a cross and i am going to get something else on my back, just make sure you put a lot of thought into what you wanna get.
-
I say nay because tattoos only look good when you're young. Lol!
Once you get old, it just looks plain ridiculous.
But aahh, tattoos are permanent. D: What if you change your mind about it later in life?
-
I don't like tattoos, on guys or girls. I vote ney.
-
ney
-
No way, when you are 50 and not able to recognize what it used to be you will be sorry
-
I SAY YAYYYYYYYY!! lol I have 10 :) and i want more!
-
I say yey, but only if the tattoo is meaningful. A lot of young people tend to forget that tattoos are a permanent fixture on your body and get caught up in the hype of just getting one. Personally I think tattoos are a work of art, and you shouldn't get a tattoo just for the hell of it. All of my tattoos were very thought out and have so much personal meaning to me that I'm okay with looking at them even when I turn 70.
-
I say yey on tattoo's I have 6 of them and want more.
-
i say yey.....even though i dont have any yet i want t get one ;D
-
i eventually want them :]
-
although some look cool i wont get one because i like to donate blood and when i get older it will look ugly lol
-
when i got my tat i was 17 and was fighting a lot so i go myself a fourleaf clover that says fighting irish on it. i really like it still and do not regret getting it at all. Its your body so you should be able to put whatever you want on it, especially if its expressing yourself.
-
Tatoos... ew gross.
Sorry I can't elaborate on that, but you definitely get the idea.
-
I may be wrong, but I think NAUGHT having a tattoo is rating higher: within' the "minority crowd" lately. :dontknow:
I myself prefer seeing: others tattoo's, than to ever consider wanting one of my own. :-X
I don't like anything enough to paint it into my skin. Not even this one>>> :bunny: , even though she is so cute. *giggles*
-
I love tatts! I have 2 and would like to get at least 2 more
(http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d180/KBearWith2Cubs/autism/tatts.jpg)
-
Absolute Yey! I have three so far, and will be getting at least two more. I waited a long time (til late 30's) to get mine, I thought about it a long time first. They're addicting, and I like seeing people's tats. They're so personal, and most people will be happy to tell you about them. That's always interesting to me.
-
I have a tattoo so yey
some people they dont look right on but when you get the right ones there freaking awesome to look at. It is interesting to me why people get what the get
-
I have a black panther on my left arm...I would like another, but not sure what I want right now. Tats are cool, for me I just want a few, not into the full sleeves or back pieces.
-
neyy. :bootyshake:
:]
-
;D   :icon_rr:YEY FOR TATTOOS
-
:notworthy: YEY for tattoos I have 8
-
I'd say to get a tattoo, if you don't like it they have ways of removing it.
-
i have one and im geting sevral more my parents are paying for my cross as my brithday present im just waiting till my fiance can come get her cross with me im gonna save up a lil extra $ for hers n surprise her so she doesnt have 2 stress over the $ situation
-
nope dont have a tattoo. i think it would ruin my skin :angel12: and when im way older i dont want the tattoo to look like a retarded butterfly ^_^
-
I have 4 of them all symbols in my life marks a point....got my first one at 18 and i'm now 26 ready for my 5th tattoo...they are beautiful and all of mine are custom... :)
-
Ye, my only tattoo was made 40 yrs ago and is still as vivid as the day it was drawn. The customer's of tats today have it made; their tattoos are made with a different type of ink that comes in minuscule beads worked into a tattoo that are easily broken down when under a special laser and quickly leave the body thru the blood when removed. No scarring...
-
I don't have a tat myself-don't like pain or needles. I've seen some very tastelful and artistic tats. Yey.
-
I say nay.... Dont get me wrong I have thought about it so many times it isnt funny, but my moral aspects wont let me do it... my husband has three on him... all crosses, but still a tattoo!
-
Tattoos are a definate yea! unless there were done in prison and are reflective of crimes commited or victims lives destroyed. I have 3 of them and drawings for 2 more, I put alot of thought into what and where, one is for my son, one is for me and represents personal strength, and one if litterally my f-u to those who don't like it,,,thats my favorite..it is a hand flipping the bird on my lower back..Thats the one my mother loves, she shows it off to more people than I do
:0)
-
I say Yey.
I've designed several tattoos for friends and family, but yet to get one myself. Once my brother gets back from Iraq (his plane arrives in the USA 10 AM tomorrow!!) he is going to take me to get one to thank me for all the tats I designed for him.

whatever float your boat
-
I enjoy tattoos in moderation, but to each his own. I have one now and wouldn't mind getting a few more. I think they are mysterious because you never really know why a person got one or what it means to them. There are usually stories behind each tattoo.
-
Ney for me, I'm just not into it.
The human body is so beautiful i don't want to mess it up with someone else's artwork.
Yey for the right person though.
-
Yey,I have a wizzard tattoo that I'm looking to have added too. Also will be adding Eagles tattoo very soon
-
I say yey! tattoos are great i have 6 myself. there a way of self expression. ;D
-
I say yey! tattoos are great i have 6 myself. there a way of self expression. ;D
WoW......ur brave :o
-
I say yey, have 2 and want one more on my back
-
yey
im getting one wrapped around my leg
-
Personally I would never get one but some people really like them so I respect that.
-
i don't currenty have one, but i'd like to eventually GET one.. i've thought about it for a long time. i think some people can easily go overboard with them.. but as long as they're somewhat tasteful, i don't see anything wrong with it
-
I'm too indecisive to get one myself, but I LOVE them on other people.
Google Oli Sykes, he's like the hottest man on earth to me!!
But if they're badly done it's ewwy.
-
That's a completely personal thing-I personally like them! It's a great way to express your creativity or show your affection for something. I designed my own and I love them (2 of them). Someone once gave me really good advice, though-never put anyone's name on you unless they are deceased. OK, it sounds really weird and morbid, but someone else mentioned something about what if you divorce your husband or break up with your boyfriend and you want their name off? Well, think about it!! The deceased rule does make sense....
-
I say Yey to the tats. My daddy waited till he was after 50 and now he has 5. All my brothers and sister have some on them. I am about to go with my brother to get one just like his in memory of our mother who died of breast cancer. The pink ribbon
-
I have one and my everyone kept telling me I would regret it. I do in a way regret it, but still I want another one. I think I should have just thought about what I got a little more.
-
I don't have one but I have a scar where I tried to give myself one when I was a dumb teenager. :-[ I have seen some I like..the little roses and butterflies are ok. We have a guy in town or was in town, I think hes in jail again... that has them all over his body. Thats too much, I think.
-
I have a 'artsy' outline of a heart on my inner ankle - no color, just a black outline...and I love it. I think if it's cute or has personal meaning a tattoo is great. Just don't get one or put it anywhere you're going to regret when you are 80!
-
For myself I say nay my husband has plenty for the both of us :)
-
Both!
On certain people they look good but on others they don't. My boyfriend and I would never get one. We both hate needles and he's worse than I am.
-
No tatto for me. Don't want anything saggy when I am old and gravity has taken its course.
-
I thought of getting a tattoo on my butt saying exactly this: ~YOUR NAME~ :bootyshake:
Then I could make big bucks betting people that i have a tattoo that say's "your name"
on my butt, and would win every time! *giggles* :bootyshake:
:bootyshake:
-
I have three tats and want more so I say yey
-
it all depends on the person in some cases it just nasty
-
love em
-
i say ney because i personally don't like tattoos. they show a bad sign when trying to get good jobs, and the classical, " If u have a tattoo of ur boyfriend/girlfriend, and they break up with u, good luck getting it off. :notworthy:
-
i have 3 tattoos so far, i love them!! its a form of "ART"...
the one on my ankle is a angel that is made out of a sexual assualt ribbon with the word "SURVIVOR" under neath, i was a victom of sexual assault.
the one on my lower back is my actual cats real paw prints, shes my life.. I <3 animals.
the one on my shoulder blade is a moon with clouds and stars......
-
It depends who it is. I'm still undecided on whether or not I will want or get one. It looks good on some. Few women look good with tattoos, but a hidden one is nice.
-
I have a 'artsy' outline of a heart on my inner ankle - no color, just a black outline...and I love it. I think if it's cute or has personal meaning a tattoo is great. Just don't get one or put it anywhere you're going to regret when you are 80!
that sounds really cute! I'm back to this topic because yesterday I met someone with a tattoo of a WHISK. Yes, the kitchen utensil.
Why in the world?! Any ideas lol?
-
nope i dont have any, and dont want any...
-
I love tattoos on guys. I wish my husband would get more!! ;D
-
I say yay..i dont have a tattoo but my sister just got one last week. It looks sick, i might get one myself!
-
i really like them too
i am getting an ace with a paiir of dice on my back next week ;D
-
I don't have any tats but I look at it like this. It is your body do what you want.
-
i personally dont mind a little body ink. Some are actually really cool, especially when they have some significance behind it or something. I just dont find it appealing when a person is covered with tats, especially when its on there face.
-
Tattoo isn't all that to me, but I like it. It is not a part of mu religion, for my religion forbids it. But overall, i like it.
-
:BangHead: My son is covered with tats, and it is really hard for him to find a job. And we live in California, where it seems that it would be just fine to have them.but noooooooooooooooo!!! :dontknow:
-
No Tattoos ;D
-
I think tattoos are ok as long as they mean something to you....I'm not really a fan of people getting tattoos of flowers or fairies or teddy bears, etc
I have a tattoo of my boyfriends name, and I want to get a 2nd one of my dad's name...and when i have kids, i'll probably get their names on me as well
-
Ney...
-
yey, yey, a thousand times yey
-
:)
I have one Tattoo right now. Its a butterfly, I want to get two more, One of my son's intials with baby feet going around it and then something to do with my cousin who passed 2 years ago.
-
YAY!!
I have seven tattoos and counting!
I love the idea of an "Ode to Motherhood" tattoo Landjholm! It sounds beautiful and I think that nursing is played up to be something to be hidden when in all actuallity it is a very natural and beautiful thing!
I'm debating on what I want my next tat to be; I'm thinking either something for my son or a wrap around on my waist!
-
im all for tattoos in good taste not completely covering the whole body I have one on my lower back that i want to get something added to it but i don't know what... I have plans for at least two more
-
If you like it, doesn't matter what others say.
-
YEY!!! i have 9 so far and so not done. For the most part, i do tend to get them in places i'm able hide as far as jobs go. i think about it lyke this:ok yeah it's gonna look stupid when ur old but so WHAT! ur gonna be unattractive when ur old anyway might as well live while u can and be sexy while ur able to lmao
-
i want a tattoo but i have not figure out what am getting, because i want it to mean something to me, not just get one for the sake of getting it.
-
ive got 7 and i want to remove them all,i say nay, wish i never got them.
-
I love tattoos on other people. I'd totally get one myself, but I'm too afraid of commitment. I just KNOW I'd get one, then the very next day think, "Dangit! I should've gotten the little shamrock!" or whatever. I love them on other people, though.
-
I actually have nine tatts. Its hard to desricbe all of them and where they are.I do have a pitbulls face on my lower back and others include roses and the phrase"Live Faithful".
They are additive so I say yes.I plan on getting one in May for my birthday. It's a Birthday tradition.
-
Yay depending on what it is and how many. I have one I've had it for over a decade. I want another one but can't decide what I want or where. I have a dreamcatcher with an eagle inside. It has spiritual meaning for me. It's on my shoulder so I can choose to hide it or show it off depending on what I wear.
-
Tattoos are ok but only in good taste :)
-
have 7. i wish i could have them all removed. one of them is in an inappropriate place and it is raunchy! now that i'm older and have kids, i have to cover up when we are at the beach. also have to cover up the not so raunchy ones when i take my kids to school (i worry they will reflect on my poor kids) what was i thinking???
oh, yeah...i was cool (when i was 20)
the only time i don't mind having them is when the bike rally is in town, then i fit right in.
-
yes and no i understand what you are saying my husband has them from head to toe and he is a tattoo artist but as he would say you got them for some reason and that defines who we are when we get them but we must just teach our kids what they do and help them understand that yes tattoos can hurt you in the long run with jobs and social settings but thanks for the topic....a tattoo artist wife  8) :angel12:
-
I say yey...I have 3 and am currently working on my back piece. It's an outward expession of one self. I have a celtic bird on my left shoulder and one on my lower back (I know cliche) and I have a lotus on the back of my neck. My back piece is buddha sittin on a lotus flower.
-
mine are meaningful to me.
-
I say Yey I have 4 names on my shoulder in a heart of my grandchildren.
-
I have 5 tats. A rose on the left hip, butterfly on right shoulder, Kokopele on the front right hip, tribal on the lower back and original Native American on the upper back.
-
I have 3 total. My daughter's name, Celtic knot, and Kanji symbol.
-
I like tattoos, as long as they are on somebody else.

[/center]Tattoos Are Awesome
I have two myself, and I plan on getting the whole top part of my back done. I love them, I think they are beautiful and sometimes can say a lot about whom a person is. Some people are so negative about them, and sure everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I think you should go for it. Now if it is your first one, I suggest getting it somewhere that it can only be seen when you want it seen. Here’s a picture of mine, like I said though, the one on my back isn’t complete yet.
You might have to go to Myspace page to see the tat on my back

:thumbsup:YAY ALL THE WAY...I currently have 5 but my goal is to be completely sleeved on both arms, my back and ribs done as well.

-
i love tattoos! i have one myself, and definitely hope to get more in the future. i love when people go all out and get a lot. i think kat von d is gorgeous simply because of her tats. i love art and most ways of expressing it, tattoos being at the top of my list.
-
I have a couple actually =)
A row of starts across my lower back (yeah so originally, i know i know but i thought it was cute and i still do), heart cherries on the crook of my hip (first one and i still absolutely love it) and then stars leading from the side of my foot up to the little toe next to the big one on my left foot. Would link pictures but i don't think I have any of them up on my myspace =/
All of mine though are easy to hide if I don't want them seen, which is one thing I made sure of before I got them. I expect to still like them in 20 years but, in the case that I don't, they're not staring me in the face anyways =)
-
TATTOOS are a YES, but it depends what you get and where you get it.
-
I say yey! I have about 10. It's a personal expression of various things that occur in someone's life. Remember, don't judge the book by its cover!
-
I love <3 tattoos and intend to get one on my foot/ankle inscribed with my dog's name. She's very important to me so don't flame.
-
Yes on Tattoo's I want to get one some day, First I have to get back home so the person that is going to do it is more than 800 miles away. I want a butterfly. I haven't decided exactly where.
-
I don't have any, but i love them!
I think they are a good way of self-expression
-

ooh, i for sure think kat von d is gorgeous too!

I've been wanting one for years but haven't had the never to get one. I'm afraid now that I'm older i have too many wrinkles and sagging skin on my canvas. :bootyshake:
-
Lol, nah people of all ages and all skin types can get them. :icon_rr: I only have one. My husbands name. Yep. Crazy.
-
tattoos are cool. most of my friends want em or have em. my bf has one on his arm of a red and black dragon and my older sister just got one as well. i won't ever get one, but that's because i don't have anything that i like enough to have on me for the rest of my life. :P
-
i say yey.
I think tatts are sexy but face ones i think thats taking it a little far!!!
-
Tattoos are ok :-
-
I say ney, I think tattoos take away the bodies natural attraction. That's just my opinion/preference. :)
-
I have two. I don't know, I got my first one when I was drunk. It was a bad choice. Didn't come out very well. But, who cares? I have an ugly little tattoo on my ankle and a totally sweet one on my arm. I never even notice them anymore. I'll get some more tattoos. Everyone says you really need to think about it for a long time and make sure you get the right tattoo. I don't think it's that big a deal. Yeah, it's forever. So what? It's just some ink in your skin. Tattoos should be important, unique and done by a professional. But if they're not, it's not the end of the world. Unless you get them on your face, anyway.
-
I have been debating on getting a tattoo for a while now.. I really want one.. but I want to make sure it means something to me for the rest of my life.. since it will be on me forever.. I would just think long and hard about what your going to get to make sure you will be happy with it on your body for the rest of your life...
-
I work in the medical field and on day I had a patient, older lady, pass away. She had a tattoo of the popeye the sailer on her left gluteus maximus :sad1: I said to myself that it probably looked decent ten or twenty years ago. But now, it looked odd and gross. I think that help made my decision that I should not get something permanant that might look good now but not so good when my skin start sagging and wrinkling.
-
Definitely yey on the tattoo ordeal. I'm covered and so is my fiance. If it weren't for tattoos, my fiance would be out of a job being a tattoo artist. I think they are great, but some people get too worked up about them. It's merely permanent art.
-
Yey if you can "remove" the tattoos should you regret it, nay if you can't.
-
I say if that is what you like and it makes you happy go for it. For my personal feelings towards my body, I was never interested in tattoos because it is like placing graffiti on your body.
-
Some are hot too many are not.
-
I wanted a tattoo before I went with my friend to get one. She has several on different parts of her body. However, she went to get one on her chest and it was a nightmare! I don't know if it was because of where she got the tattoo or what, but she acted as if she were in labor!!! She was grinding her teeth and screaming! All she got was a small ladybug!!! She has other tattoos 5x the size of this little lady bug and she swears they didn't hurt at all. Can someone please explain what could have happened? I really want a tattoo of a Tasmanian devil, but I think I have changed my mind completely.
-
YEY!!!! I have 6 myself and am planning to get more, but only small ones. My husband wants to be covered in tattoos and already has most of one sleeve with a total of 12 tattoos. We both got sparrow tattoos before our wedding to have somewhat matching tattoos, and when we finally have money again we plan on getting tattoos that relate to our honeymoon - we went to Jamaica and it was amazing!
I see tattoos as art and believe there is usually nothing wrong with them. Sometimes people go too far with offensive tattoos or tattoos in places that are unattractive, but most tattoos are beautiful and have a fun story. I actually almost did my masters thesis on the taboo of tattoos in the workplace, and why focusing on tattoos and other body art can be considered discrimination.
-
yeah tatoos are a piece of art and they tell alot about a person, i personalley have to myself.. a dragon and an eagle
-
can i say YEY or NEy depends on where they r at on the body :bootyshake:
I like 2 have 1 on my ankle with a heart and my childrens c/a in it :angel12:
-
Tattoos are awesome, im 22 and have 6... i love them, they give you a way to express yourself for everyone to see if you want them to also it allows you to carry that special memorey with you always. so im a yay :female:

-
i say yey because i think that they are an expression of creativity :)
I haven't and won't ever get one. :bunny:
Mainly because I'd probably change my mind after I got one. :BangHead:
A lady has that right to change her mind now! *giggles* :bunny:
-
I have one or coughcough23coughcough.
Some are pretty awesome I think, but I really wish I didn't have any.
-
I say yey for temporary tattoos, but permanent ones...ney. I can't bear to have them. I do think they are a way of personal expression, but I rather prefer talking ;D
-
I don't personally want one...but im not against them or anything
-
I know there is already 14 pages of responses, but I absolutely love tattoos, I love art and I love being able to have stuff I really love be with me always. I think tattoos can be extremely gorgeous, creative, and sexy. They are a turn on to me lol =P And yes, I have tattoos.
-
Niether it all depends. Someone who is covered in tattoos is gross. But one on your arm or leg is nice depending on what the tattoo is of. Would I ever get one? Not in my lifetime. I dont like needles or pain. I would howver get on that washes off.
-
YEY on tattoos...I have 2 butterflies one on my ankle and one on my shoulderblade. Tatoos are personal and should be thought about very carefully. Tattoos are a great way to express yourself and speak to the uniqueness in all of us.
-
I love tattoos. I have two as of right now, a cross on my right leg representing my daughter and a fairy on my right shoulder blade (got pregnant the night I had received that one with my second child). My next two are going to represent my grandparents and my new daughter.
-
NEY: for me i wouldn't get a tattoo my self and i don't really like to see them on other people with a couple exceptions on men.
-
I have to say NEY. Do something that everybody else does
-
Yeeeyyyy! They're damn sexy.
-
THEY ARE AWSOME UNIL YOUR 50 and above. Old people with tats look dumb
-
tattoo's are cool you should get one
-
NAY!
-
i love them and want more but my boyfriend doesnt like them..
i have a skeleton key on my hip, i wanted it to be a side piece with a ribbon, but he doesnt want that much.
i have a heart on the back on my neck.
and i have cherry blossoms on my foot.
-
a small tat is cool, but all over body aint cool no more, especially with girl.
-
Yay for me...as long as you stop and truly think about what you are getting before you get it. They should'nt be "decoration" or a way for you to feel or be "cool," they should always have an underlying meaning. And don't forget to think about what they will look like when you are 95 and your skin is hanging around your ankles!!!
-
yes to tats
-
My Tattoos and piercings are so tribal for me, I can't imagine not having them, sucks trying to get a job, though. I wish it was more respected.
-
although i love art....nope...
-
Yey from me!
My husband and I have bought tattoos for special occasions, like our anniversary. Why waste money on flowers that die in a few days, when ink lasts forever?
