Title: have you ever been skydiving
Post by: chezmeister on February 23, 2012, 11:56:02 am: ive always wanted to go skydiving before but i havent got the chance yet.
what was your experience like?did it hurt?

It didn't hurt one bit it actually felt like my back got realigned lol I did wake up the next day a little soar but that is expected with any type of "work out". Word of advice, it's not like the movies, you can't talk when you're that far up lol you'll actually end up salivating on yourself if you try to smile which is hilarious if you get it recorded :wave:

Although this was not precisely recreational skydiving, we still leapt out of a perfectly good airplane. Beforehand, we were told to always pack your own 'chute. This advise translates to other aspects of life.

Post by: demaina on February 25, 2012, 06:00:15 am: Nope and wouldn't. I just don't like the idea of jumping out of a perfectly good plan, plummeting towards Earth, and then hoping my chute opens. And then if it does open, that doesn't mean the landing will be good. But, that's just me.

A pilot friend of mine who flies small craft wants you to know that the dive is free however, the parachute will cost extra.

Also, remember that "if at first you don't succeed, skydiving is probably not for you."

I'm from CO so I obviously went to a different place but this looks like a good place to try - http://www.skydivegeorgia.com/

I jumped in late August and given it is CO and our altitude is a lot higher, I really was taken back by how cold it was up there so keep that in mind if you're planning on going in Sept. Our place only needed about a week notice to schedule us but the sooner you schedule the better - best of luck to you! :wave:
