It's always a good day for corned beef and cabbage. I already have plans to go to a dinner that night. Can't wait.

The funny thing is that I'm not even the slightest bit Irish, but my Mom insists on celebrating St. Patrick's Day. She always makes it real nice though. Hot corn-beef and cabbage, potatoes, soda bread, beer. The works. I actually look forward to it because of the way she works so hard to make it so nice for us. Gotta love Mom!

My great grandmother was pure Irish and yes I do celebrate St Patrick's Day.
-
no......i really dont care for it at all.

I love to go to an Irish Pub and listen to Celtic music while eating shepherd's pie and drink an O'Doul's. The trur story of Saint Patrick's life reads like an adventure novel. "May the road always rise to meet you, may the rains fall softly on your fields, and may God hold you in the palm of His hand until we meet again." :)

I celebrate by trying to wear something green that day and maybe purchase a shamrock shake. I don't see any point going out to the restaurants/bars as so many people around here are obnoxiously drunk.
-
I only celebrate St Patrick's Day on 2 specific occasions:
1. A bar, pub or club is having specials on green beer (any beer is good enough for me!), or
2. When I see a good looking woman who's NOT wearing green, I don't hesitate to pinch!
Happy St Patty's Day!

I don't celebrate. I barricade myself in my apartment to avoid all of the idiots who are drunk and loud. :angry7:

It's a good excuse to drink some Guinness.

I'm going to eat with my gf, my sister and my coussins and the bar we're going to will be serving a local brew and glass boots - just like in beerfest - yeah i know EPIC!!!

No, i don't.. don't exactly know how I'm supposed to celebrate it.
-
Not really! My kids and I have been a St Patricks Day wreath and we do the thing where you were green that day..but thats about it!
-
I don't really drink either but I probably will on St. Patricks, especially since it's on a SATURDAY...how perfect!

Well Saints and begorah! I myself am not of the Irish persuasion but, I'll be a wantin' some of those Irish potatoes. Yes, those candy ones made with cinnamon and coconut the nuns used to give me for not making shenanigans. I myself was made honorary Irish by some of me high school friends. I'll bet you a four leaf clover that I can do an Irish jig with the best o' them and a Happy St Patrick's day to you all! May the road rise up to meet you and may you be in heaven and hour before the devil knows you're dead. :)

Being Irish-Scot we celebrate it every year. Its also a religious holiday for us and we recognize it at church gatherings that weekend.
