Am i gonna be profiled no? what i mean is.....am i gonna be shot id i decide to ware a hoodie? :icon_rr:

Yeah being profiled for what you were is dumb. I have no Idea what this world is comming to. I live in a small town so I don't have to worry about that. Its the big cities you have to worry about.

Unfortunately, small town or not, there will always be crazies out there that just don't see reality like everyone else does, and those are the ones that will do something unbelievably wrong to harm another person. :angry7:

Wait until the evidence is in before you panic. What I do know is that there were 50 seperate shootings in Chicago last weekend and there isn't a peep from anyone about that.

Technically, we all make quick decisions about people all the time. When you walk down the street you quickly judge whether people are going to attack you or not.
It's the ones that take those quick decisions to extremes that you have to worry about. And really, there is no way to avoid them. You could go to the mall and someone could shoot you just cause you're there. There's really nothing to prevent it. Just live your life the best you can. Try not to *bleep* people off intentionally and you should be fine.

Well, maybe we all should start wearing sweat shirts without hoods. That guy should be hunted and killed like he killed that innocent kid.

Wear a ski mask or a helmet with the visor down and walk into a bank or convenience store and judge the reactions. I worked at a convenience store before and had both situations occur and was prepared to be robbed but in neither case was it anything sinister -- still that would not change my judgements if such happened again though. People must realize how they present themselves and the whole psychology behind it all (well maybe they don't need to realize all that much but just apply some common sense). If you conceal your identity (whether intentionally or not), others will regard you with a tad bit more suspicion and your natural behavior is to act more in the manner as those who become emboldened by anonymity (everyone here can attest to how anonymous and semi-anonymous people tend to behave in a less civilized fashion on the net, and such behavior is not limited to the net alone as even mob mentality is a form of such anonymity). Even people wearing sunglasses and also semi-colored glasses (I am most dubious of rose tinted glasses wearing people and there is supporting research to indicate one would also be wise to share that view) will act differently than they would without them and are regarded differently as well in confrontational situations (could be the primal eye contact reasons).
If someone will not look me in the eye I tend to think I am right to be skeptical. If someone conceals their face I also will naturally feel skeptical about their motives. If I walk into a place of business or into a situation where provocation is possible I would naturally make my face as visible as possible (even if it is a dangerous place I would do this to make myself look less like a potential victim).

Things happen in BIG and SMALL places, never under estimate what someone can and will do. I live in a small town too and late last night a guy was stabbed to death in his own home in Massac County, it's not the town it's the people. We are losing loved ones left and right we have lost our love for God and so many of use are living out live without him, it's that strong power of CHOICE that HE gave us, and often we make the wrong choices and other suffer dearly for them.
This is just my opinion!

I try not to judge people because you don't know there situation or what got them to that point. You don't know whats going tn in their lives. And everyone is an individual which is fine by me id rather not have a million mes running around or perfect people the world would be boring and the what would be the point of living and growing to prove yourself to God or whoever you believe in..or don't.

You don't know yet if he was an innocent kid. Did you ever hear of "innocent until proven guilty" or a jury of your peers? What the hell happened to justice in this country? Yeah lets just hunt him down and kill him.
-
that is just sad. if you feel threatened by someone why would you follow them??? go somewhere safe and call the police.

Justice for Trayvon Martin!!!!
I live in the suburbs and even though my town is quiet you never know when a crazy will turn up to the person who said they live in a small town you never know what can happen. It's very sad what happened to him. In chicago things like that happens all the time and it gets overlooked too much.

RIP Trayvon Martin. What happened to him is absolutely tragic.

We know what the world is comming to, an end SOON! Read your bible and you will see that God tells you these things will happen. Son against father, mother against daugther and so on..

We know what the world is comming to, an end SOON!
Wingnuts have been 'predicting' that for thousands of years; every previous prediction has been wrong, (which is indicative of a lousy track record).
Read your bible and you will see that God tells you these things will happen. Son against father, mother against daugther and so on..
Since that fictional conglomerate has exactly zero predictive abilities, (100% failure rate when not being so ambiguous as to be interpreted & reinterpretated to 'fit' any circumstance), relying upon such an irrational basis indicates internal irrationality.

YEA! We should find this man GUILTY with NO TRIAL! yea, don't research "facts" or try to find the whole story. Give in to your outrage.
