I was in a deep dream I was with my family on a vacation and I was in the window like a rock coming out the sky towards the hotel then a big wave was coming to shore towards the town so I had to get my daughter and son and the faamily in the car to get to higher grown the city was chaos as im seeing the water coming towards the city I woke up...

I used to get dreams like that when I was a kid. I would wake up from my dream to go use the bathroom but was still dreaming. One time I had a dream in a dream where I woke up and thought I was going to the bathroom in a dream and woke up but was still dreaming. Lol no more late night juice for me. But on a completely different note I'm no expert on dream reading but it sounds like your someone in your family or family as a whole is gonna have a tough time and you are gonna be the one to pull everything together. Or your going to get a glimpse of something bad and you have to nip it in the bud before it gets out of control.

I have dreams like that all the time, any time I dream in fact. When i was a kid I had a dream that the world was crumbling behind me, while I was driving in a car trying to get away from it with some of my family. I also had a dream the teacher had me right down that was just like the movie the faculty, then a while later a movie came out like that. My mom that I was crazy until I showed her the graded paper and it was that movie. Its weird though, i have always had dreams in movie form, which is why I think I like movies so much. I also have weird dreams though, like I would think that steven kings or edgar allen poes would have. Take the other day for instance. I had a dream that I was in a house that I had just moved into, this one ended up being a ghost story. I didnt wake up until the ghost had caught me. He was dragging me away by my leg, yet that is not what woke me up. My son came in the room. Me being scared tends not to wake me up. Which is weird because when you know its a dream you can normally wake yourself from it. When I was pregnant I had a dream that bothered me alot. The problem is that you know its not weird to have bad dreams, but every time I would tell people them they would look at me weird. Like you can control it.

Yes! Dreams are so strange and intriguing! This type of situation always happens when I'm hung over and sleeping because I'm not fully in REMS sleep but partially. And another question or post we should start...what are dreams actual thoughts we want or just ruminations over the day's activities?

I've had lot's of deep dreams! I wake and think that was just a dream! Some deep dream's I don't want them to end, but they do, and some dream's I hope the dream would stop.

I can only recall three dreams where I was so deep into them, that I woke up because of them. One was when I was kid, I don't remember much from it except for a dog attack & feeling the pain, but I'm not sure that I was the one being attacked in my dream. Another one, I can't even describe any of it but it actually scared me really bad that I woke up & didn't want to go back to sleep for awhile. That one actually happened as an adult too. The other one, which also occurred as an adult, I only remember reaching out to stop my dogs from fighting and I woke myself up because I actually quickly reached out in my sleep and struck the wall, which jolted me awake. Lol

I've had a few like that. Sadly most of them involved someone in my family dying, so they are pretty much imprinted in my brain. I had one once though where I was in school and had to find a class but couldn't find it, so I just kept searching for it. The school was kinda broken with holes in the middle of the floor that you had to jump over or walls with vines you had to climb cause there wasn't an elevator. Really freaked me out cause I was walking around pretty much certain someone was going to attack me. It's really weird to be in a dream like that cause it feels so real.

I actually had a dream like that today, I took a nap, which is not really normal for me and dreamed about my brother, who has been HIV+ since 1994. In the dream, it was a day before his birthday, and my brother was on his way home and got hit by a car. Of course, I know that was definitely a reference in my sub-conscience about the whole mortality of HIV and his life, but the part that really got me about this dream was hearing that he had died. That part of the dream was more real to me than anything, it ripped my heart out, and that's what woke me up. Sometimes, I wonder if those types of dreams are just my brain's way of preparing for future occurrences. We all have to die sometime, the part that really sucks is receiving the news about the deceased while you are still living, especially if it is a family member or loved one. :crybaby2:

I've had some very vivid dreams that feel like an experience more than a dream. Those dreams are ones where I remember every detail. Often in those dreams I fly...like the flying nun...and travel. I remember even the small things like dodging power lines and my destinations. There have even been times when I was teaching other people how to fly.
