I have had more headaches in the past month and nose has been so stopped up. Thank you lovely spring time. This is my favorite time of year normally. I love being in the sun. Taking the kids out to do activities but these allergies are acting up so bad. Allergy meds aren't even touching what happening. Anyone else have this issue ???

I have an allergy of dairy products so always I keep on scratching my skin.

Yes they seem to be horrible this year no matter what I do there isn't any relief Vicks Nose spray helps somewhat if I take a hot shower and then use it I can breath for awhile I love outdoors but ugh its awful!!

Me too! This year the pollen is unreal. Our cars are covered and so is everything else outside.

A person can usually help their self with respiratory system allergies by making sure they're getting plenty of Vitamin C and bioflavanoids. The flavanoids are found in the white part of citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruits. They're also found in certain vegetables and red wine.
If you want to pick up a supplement you can buy a product called Quercetin from the health shop or online. That's what I'd do because I really dislike being miserable.

??? When I was in my twenties I had allergies terribly. I kept sinuitis and pretty much was miserable around the year. When I was 26 I had my first child and believe me or not I never have had a problem with allergies since then. I don't know if it was a chemical change in my body or what. ;D

I used to have to worst hayfever ever, to where my eyes would water and itch unstoppably and I would sneeze uncontrolably. But I guess it was just the type of pollen where I lived, cuz the last couple years just wiping my face with a damp rag seem to take my symptoms away. I found that Alavert & Allerga work pretty well is the past for me. :sad1:

I know my allergies have been getting worse over the last couple of days. It would be nice if I could get rid of the itchy eye feeling that I have been waking up with lately. Hopefully you start to feel better soon.

Because of our mild winter and early spring, allergens are especially bad this year. Also many virus's going around that weren't killed off by prolonged low temps.

I suffered from allergies for years before my doctor put me on Zyrtec. Solved most of my problems immediately and haven't had any problems for many years.
Zyrtec is now available over the counter as cetirizine hydrochloride-10mg. You can buy it at any drug store -- but I've found that it's cheaper if you shop it over the internet -- even after shipping and handling. (I use drugstore.com). But you should try it to see if it helps before you buy in quantity.

I havent had a good clear day for months. This has been the worst allergy season I have ever encountered!!

All 4 of my kids have been awful with allergies this year. I hope it ends soon. :-[

You've got that right!! With all the warm weather all the pollun has been out. I washed my car last week and that was a mistake. It is all green already.!

It seems to be a bad year for allergies, i started getting them really bad in march when the spruce started blooming and has not let u, even got a bad sinues problem because of it. and when the wind is blowing it gets worse, and now the cottonwood are getting ready. I think it is going to be a long year for some of us.

yes, I have this problem also, I been either take over the counter : claritin, bendryl and prescription: allegra but all this medication made me sleepy.

My allergies have been horrible ever since I was a kid. Over the counter meds don't work for me. I take a shot called Kenalog every 4-6 months. After a couple years of being on it, I have built up somewhat of an immunity and this spring I can finally breathe. I'd ask you doctor if the shot might be right for you. It has helped me immensely.

Yes I agree. However, over the years I have found things that work. Zyrtec is my savior. Nothing else has ever worked for me except Zyrtec. Also, this year I got an air purifier which kills mold spoors, germs, etc. I am so amazed at how much less my allergy symptoms are and that I can now sleep through a whole night! So there is hope if these are things you haven't yet tried. Allergies trigger hives in me - so solving these issues was pretty critical. Hope you get some suggestions here that work for you!

they are the worst my eyes get watery and at times i can keep my nose from running.

I have pretty bad allergies and have to take a lot of meds, but still feel like crap. I hate how my ears feel muffled and I feel like I am in a fog.
i take generic zyrtec, singulair (which costs a fortune), nasonex, and veramyst.

Same here. & i thought it was seasonal until i had it the next season, and the next season, etc. I used to use claritin but that stopped working, ive just started Zyrtec, hopefully it works.

I am terribly allergic to cats, regular allergy meds do not help. they are driving me crazy this year!
