I am staying at home and having family over (son/daughter) and their families. We pretty much do the same thing every easter/thanksgiving/christmas. We have it at our house and everyone brings a little for dinner.

Going to just cook a quiet dinner and relax.  I might make some old fashioned ice cream for the family.  Just enjoy the day.  :o

Easter is a pagan holiday.

Why do people eat ham celebrating the murder of a jewish man?

Easter is a pagan holiday.

The xtians derived it from pagan spring equinox celebrations however, that doesn't prevent any extant pagans from celebrating it in traditional pagan ways.

Why do people eat ham celebrating the murder of a jewish man?

Generally, Messianic Jews do not celebrate either xmyth or, Ostara and apparently those that do have no particular religious dietary restrictions, (however, the xtian variation technically celebrates the 'zombie aspect', rather than the 'ransom aspect' of the myth).

My sister is the admin assistant to a high school superintendent.  She rented out the school's gym and cafeteria and three different "branches" of our extended family, i.e. 3 different families, are invited to go to the school to eat, play games and do Easter kids' activities.  Sounds pretty good!

I am going to Church with my daugher and son-in-law.  I work at Wal-Mart and this is the first Easter I have had off since I started there.  What a blessing.  I was off yesterday and that was nice too.  But when I go back to work tomorrow morning I have to work 6 days in a row.  Then after that will have 3 days off in a row.  Will need them after working so many day.  Hope everyone has a nice Easter and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

Chores, living on a farm chores don't stop because of what holiday it is, then going to plant stuff in the garden, then having a family dinner at my parents house.   May not be making it to church this morning, but never forgetting what Easter is all about.
