The stuff in bold is the important stuff...everything else is my blabbing.
Trust me, I've done research to try and cut my grocery bill, and I've finally come up with a method I've never seen before. It might take a while for the low grocery bill to take effect, because I have probably about 2 dozen recipes that I cycle through. Because most of the ingredients I need are on hand, my grocery bill is greatly reduced. I used to try several different recipes all week long. That didn't really work for me because some would turn out crappy, then everyone would be grumpy, yadda yadda yadda...not to mention the waste of money on a crappy recipe. Now I try one new recipe a week. If we all agree it's good, I add it to the 2 dozen I already have, creating a bigger cycle. My fiance used to always complain about my food, now not only is my grocery bill reduced, but my home is more peaceful. My grocery bill, for the past 3 weeks has ACTUALLY been UNDER $70, where as it used to be between $100-$175 BUT...I have WIC, so that also contributes.

My weekly grocery bill is always under $100. I do like to cook but I don't get real creative very often. I don't spend that much at the grocery store mostly because I am a single guy and I can eat for pretty cheap while eating at home.
-
My grocery bill is always under $100. I buy food for my boyfriend and myself, and we usually end up spending less than $150 per month.
-
My grocery bill hasn't been $100 in a long time. I use coupons when I shop, so that definately helps.

you need to post a few recipes here i always get bored making the same stuff i try and use cpns also now i'm going to savemart because of the game they have going on (the price is right ) i try to get things from the 99cent store certain things are just expensive like coffee and mayo just ridiculous.

Mine is always under or at 100.We live on a disability check. So we don't really have a lot to spend on groceries. They could drop the prices some.
-
Would love to see your recipes. I cook for a family of 7. I have been using coupons for the past 4 months or so. That has helped a lot.
-
Mine is almost closer to less than $100 a month, but I live alone. I buy many things from the dollar store, which invaribly costs less for things on the shelf.

I usually spend less than $100 a month on groceries. I am on disability and that is about all I can afford to spend. I shop alot at the dollar stores, plus I dont pay regular price for anything. If it isnt on sale, or a dont have a coupon I don't buy it. I also feel that the prices are way to high, but due to the price of fuel, someone has to pay for the stuff to get to the stores. So quess what, I guess that means anyone that shops, pays the price.

this is why I love living in the middle of know were with cool neighbors, I think the last time we went to the store we spent about 20 bucks, that was for the personal stuff and a few other things mostly we get are food from the land what we shoot we eat, Squirrel, deer, coon, rabbit, ect. we have a garden and greenhouse so we can get most fruits and veggies from them then we have chickens so we don't have to buy eggs we can get around a dozen or more a day, then are neighbor has around 100 head of cattle, when he butchers a cow he gives us some meat and we give him 4 or 5 dozen eggs and anything from the garden or greenhouse he needs kinda they way it use to be, and still money is tight, I guess I shouldn't complain it could be worse.

my grocery bill is usually under $100

My weekly bill is always under $100 for my husband and I. I watch the sales, buy food for the week and prepare meals according to what is on sale.

I'd like to have mine be under 100.00 I go to the store about every 10-14 days and spend any where between 120.00 - 180.00. Any suggestions for a lower bill?
-
If you eat for 1 groceries could be under $100.00, but if there's more to feed groceries could go over $100.00. Only if gas price's could go down, then groceries would too!

I have a few repeat recipes that I go back to (honey mustard chicken is one of the favorites) where I can keep ingredients on hand, but others, like chicken fettuccine, we can't keep ingredients stocked up.
I use coupons whenever I can, and go for the store brand 9 times out of 10.
Our bill is usually between $75 and $150, but that sometimes can last us for almost two weeks! (It's just my husband and myself)

Oh, haha, yeah I guess I forgot to mention I have a family of four. And I price match (I shop at Walmart because they offer such a wonderful thing). And yes, I also buy enough food for the week. I also go for the store brand often, but, for example, ranch dressing...gotta get the good stuff...Walmart's just doesn't taste right.

could u list some of the recipes u make?

I just went to the grocery store today just trying to only spend $50.00 but spent $90.00 but I do two or three meals a week, but I just can't stay away from the snacks ;)

Off the top of my head, if you google it I'm sure you could find -- I really like ranch macaroni and cheese, chili, taco salad, cheesy corn-chip skillet, nachos, ect.

If I could have a grocery bill just one week that came in at under 100.00 for the trip i would be quite happy.. However, having a meat and potato man and three sons following in his footsteps and food prices going up,what seems every week, I donot c it happening. Fortunatly, my husband makes enough money, that we can eat his favorite steaks( t-bone,and new york strip) a couple times a week, and as long as his and the boys favorites are covered there is no problem with the food budget or what the weekly bill is.
