While my condolences go out to Mr. Clark's family and friends, the bleeping of his first name is still amusing.

Putting the silly *bleep*" stuff aside - yes, this is the sad passing of an icon of our times. I, too, grew up with Richard Wagstaff "*bleep*" Clark.  He had an amazing career starting right out of high school in 1947 where he became a weatherman through filling in for someone at a local radio where he was an office worker. Kind of reminds me of Oprah's start.  He will be sorely missed by many of us who grew up with him.  Blessing to his family and friends.

I agree and it showed great strength to keep doing his New Year's gig after his stroke(s); indeed, in spite of them. I salute his memory.
