It takes a lot of organizing and preparing for any kind of vacation, but it is usually worth it.

Have fun.  I love camping but the prep for it is exhausting.  Worth it though when you are in the middle of nowhere and actually have toilet paper.

I love camping..... I love the thrill and adventure of going outdoors and appreciating nature, like bear grylls. But too bad my wife doesn't agree on camping outdoors. "It's just not my scene" that's what she always say everytime i ask her. She's never done camping ever in her life.. :angry7:

I love camping. I can't get my hubby to go either. He's not into roughing it. (wuss)  ;D

Yeah, camping at the lake is our preference ;D
My sister and her family goes a lot more often than us. Her husband likes to take their boat out, and my sis is just a wizz at getting stuff organized and done. They have a camper but usually just take tents (they took the camper on a cross country trip ranging from Florida to Mexico to California a couple years ago though).
My other sister when she babysits sometimes sets up tents to "camp" in her yard with the kids!  :D
My sister-in-law, however, doesn't really care for the camping. My brother was talking about getting a camper maybe, because otherwise they have to rent cabins (or even hotels!) when going on "roughing it" vacations.

Anyways - I hope you enjoy your vacation! Have lots of fun!

look at the bright side of this!  IF it rains, or if you forgot something, you can ALWAYS sneak back the 5 blocks to get it!

I have nice memories of a few camping trips.
ILLINOIS - TENNESSEE - EVEN POLAND[ when I was there with college students 20 years younger than me].
Being out close to nature and in harmony with it is a fresh feeling, the early morning dew.
I liked being in the woods.

I've never been straight up camping in the woods or anything like that, but I have been in cabins and such before.

 If there is electricity and a roof, it is NOT camping!  That's called a hotel, I think! ;D

Used too love to go camping, hubby was big game guide and we went way up into the mountains of N.M. took us about 4 hours to reach the top where the camp was set up. My poor behind was sore but loved every bit of it. Would have enjoyed it even more if my wrist and arm hadn't been in a cast. Thank heavens i was used to riding. But now at my age i prefer the camper.

I love camping too, but it is true, I usually don't start packing until the night before!!! Yikes! But as long as all the laundry is done ahead of time, it's just a matter of packing it all up and fitting it in!  Food ideas usually start sooner and I try to get food stuff all the day before.  Have fun on the trip!!

I love Poland, but I didn't get to go camping there. I spent most of my time in Kutno and Kraków.
Camping is great, I usually stay on campgrounds because you never know what you will stumble upon in the wild.

Camping is awesome.  I came very close to doing it full time at one point in my life.  It does require a lot of work and organization.  My BFF and I have camped with our kids before and one thing she did that was just an awesome idea was buy one of those rubbermaid tubs.  She kept everything as far as staples went in there.  Than she took a clear plastic sheet and taped it to the inside lid.  Slipped a piece of paper and pen in it.  Whenever we ran out of something we just jot it down on the list...than the item was replaced and thrown back in the tub.  She was so good she even kept a clothes line in there.  Have a fun time.

It's true, always end up working extra hard before and after a vacation. But what would life be without a little vacation every now and then. Hope you enjoy yours!

I hate how it takes a day of travel just to get to the travel destination.  I wish transportation was speedier.  You waste a day of your vacation time with merely the departure and  the arrival and that it the most miserable/stressful part!   :- All this talk about vacation really makes me want to go on one right now.  Have a good time on your trip.

personally i think the best way to vacation is tell everyone that you're going somewhere, lock all your doors, turn your lights out, cut your phone off and enjoy your solitude in your own home lol
