I just got some new DVDs of old western shows - The Rebel - Johnny Yuma, Yancey Derringer, Overland Trail and Trackdown.  I had never seen any of these before getting the DVDs from Amazon.  I highly recommend all of them.  I love collecting old shows on DVD.

I also enjoy watching some of the old programs especially the comedies. I don't think the humor of some of the new sit-coms is even funny.

Various.  It's funny - I'm too young to remember old TV shows.  Never saw them since I was born after they aired.  My dad tends to get me into old series.  Stuff like Big Valley...  Latest thing we've been watching is Logan's Run.

I don't really watch "old" shows anymore.  If they ever show back up on a channel I have,  I would probably watch The Night Stalker and the original Lost In Space series.

I've been watching older Andy Griffith episodes lately, and I've seen quite a few I hadn't seen--enjoy them a lot.  Also like MASH quite a bit.  I would love to see some Mary Tyler Moore show episodes--especially the one where Betty White's character gets plopped onto a four-foot tall wedding cake by Gavin McLeod.

If they ever show back up on a channel I have,  I would probably watch The Night Stalker and the original Lost In Space series.

Those are also two of my old favs!!  And how about "The Twilight Zone" (the original series, of course).

I Love Lucy was really a pretty funny show too. AND Get Smart was stupidly funny.

Dragnet?    Streets of San Francisco?    Mannix?

Run For Your Life (anyone remember this show...with Ben Gazzara?)

I love the *bleep* van Dyke show. I'm not really sure why, although it might have something to do with the fact that his character in Mary Poppins was my favourite. I also love watching M*A*S*H* and the Dukes of Hazzard, probably because I used to watch them with my brother, so they bring back great memories. I can't resist the old cartoons either. Really, I prefer older shows. I've nothing against current tv shows, but I prefer the old ones.

My favorites are Doug (this show was so good, I wish it had continued on Nick), some cartoons on Boomerang, and 'All In the Family'.

All In the Family is very "non PC" for its time. Plus it inspired Trey Parker and Matt Stone to make South Park!

I believe 'Family Guy' is also inspired by 'All In the Family' as well.  I know 'Family Guy' is kind of rival to 'South Park'. lol

I'm not one that watches old tv shows per se'... however I do watch shows that are more recent but I missed the beginning seasons.... like Dexter, Breaking Bad, Weeds...I fall on Netflix and our local library for that sort of thing.  My youngest was just introduced to the rug-rats.  She absolutely loves it.

I love watching these with my kids, Dennis the Menace, Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Gidget, The Flying Nun, and others like that. Even though they are teenagers they find the shows funny and enjoyable. Most of them taught a moral lesson as well. What a difference from some of today's shows. :o
