It's a toss up between Wolverine and Spider Man honestly.  It kind of depends on my mood - sometimes when I'm in a grittier mood it's Wolverine, if I'm feeling a more comical super hero it's Spider Man.

I JUST got back into Comic books and was actually going to start my own thread. Does anyone here read them? I have downloaded Crossed: Wish You Were Here (which is extremely gory) and bpught Mind MGMT. Does anyone have suggestions on what to start next? I have looked at the Walking Dead comics as well.

After the Walking Dead appeared on TV, (the series, not the other TV programming - that happened eons ago), I too looked at the 'graphic novels', (and some a pretty graphic alright). Although the TV series varies significantly from the comics, I'd have to go with the televison variation there.  Long ago, I'd become accustomed to reading the WitchBlade graphic novels but, haven't done so in years.

I'm not as much a fan of comics, due to growing up poor :P So most of my knowledge comes from tv and movie versions, although I've been picking up a couple here and there when I could find collections of full stories, mainly at yard sales.

But speaking of comics, have you heard about the tv adaption of Green Arrow (although it's just called "Arrow") that's going to premiere this October? Wednesdays at 8, if it doesn't get changed by then. You can find a clip/commercial thing on youtube.

The character was never "on my radar" but the summer gives me time to catch up, I guess. :)

Plus, it'll be on before Supernatural, so might as well turn the tv on an hour early. ^_^

And for gore, I haven't read the Walking Dead or Crossed, but the Marvel Zombies series has some gross bits. Though it probably can't compare with anything like the gore I imagine an independent publisher can do.
I'm not really a fan of horror or gore - the show I mention above, Supernatural, is about as gorey as I want to get (and it even has scenes I don't want to see twice).

My favorite character has always been The Incredible Hulk, mostly because of the Bill Bixby series.I was glad to see the Hulk done justice in Avengers.

I collect comics, but nothing current.Partly because new books are so darn expensive, and partly because I prefer "old school" comics (usually from the late 60's to the mid 80's).I just picked up the Marvel Masterworks volume of X-Men with the Proteus saga!

I'm really looking forward to Arrow this fall!I never really cared for Smallville,so I didn't expect much from CW in terms of another Comic Book series, but judging by the previews,it looks slick! :D
