Title: How do you celebrate your birthday?
Post by: lgemini on June 10, 2012, 08:16:18 am: My birthday was 06-09, and I had to work. I do not care to go out on my birthday. I need to know what should I have done on my birthday?

Travel is cool. I agree concerning birthdays and if any "celebration" occurs at all, it is when I give gifts to others on that day, (not because it confuses them sometimes but, to indicate that a natal return isn't very significant to me by reverse emphasis). Have fun in Thailand when you go; business or pleasure?

this year i'd like to acknowledge it by starting the book
i've always meant to write. it would be a present to myself,
just to start it and maybe see it as more than a document
on my computer by my 30th birthday.

Besides if i did someone would insist on putting all the candles on the cake and would have to call the fire dept. Just joking. Love spending time with family and maybe going out to eat so i don't have too cook. I am 69 and don't need a thing and if i did i would go buy it before i would say anything about wanting something.

After I got married it was a queit dinner with the wife. As children showed up it became more of a chance for them to celebrate that I was still there. And now in the shadow of my grandchildren who one has her birthday the day after mine it is all about helping her celebrate hers.

Now that i am older,(50) I sleep in,spend the day kicking back with a good book, when hubby gets home with the boys I have b-day dinner(chicken nuggets) with the boys while my husband makes a 5 course meal,fit for a king that we, eat at around 10pm by moon light.(very romantic)

Some years it's the day after Thanksgiving so I'm usually around a lot of family and other years it's a full week after so I can just do my own things with my friends. I do tend to get some great gifts when people have been able to do Black Friday shopping first

What I would have loved to do was go shopping and have lunch with my friends, and dinner with my boyfriend. Then after dinner maybe meet back up with my friends and have a few drinks or just go home and watch a movie with my man. Oh yea and have the following day off. :thumbsup:

I spent another birthday in the mountain and have done the birthday party thing. But I'm just as happy to go out to dinner, watch a movie, hang out with friends or family.

After I got to be 18-19, I would even forget my birthday was coming up. I have even forgotten it was my birthday ON my birthday. :dontknow:
