Should You Feel Obligated To Explain The Time You Have To Take Off From Work?
-
No, I do not . It is my time and I feel that I should be allow to take a summer vacation if I have the time.
-
thanks i was just wandering how many people felt like i do!
-
It doesn't feel like a vacation when you are homeless most of the time.
-
just dont want to think about a book or study.
-
I`m sorry i dont think i have ever been homeless, guess because im blessed with a big family
-
I can relate to that i work on internet 24-7 when i go on vacation i leave internet home
-
NO! It's your own personal vacation time. You don't need to disclose any details if you don't want to.
-
Used to be i think they had sick leave and vacation and longterm illness and stuff like that bu t now it's all gropued under PTO or ATO or that kind of thing, so if comapnies do that, then they don't have a right to know why you are taking off time
-
I don't think anyone should have to explain but sometimes if people work in close quarters or a smaller company then it's "expected"...meaning if you don't "tell" then others act offended and will give a cold shoulder to you for shutting them out. :sad1: Gosh a "private vacation" sounds lovely right now. Impossible but absolutely lovely for sure....
-
No but I usually tell people if I'm going somewhere just in casual conversation.
-
You don't have to share what you plan to do with your time off with others if you don't want to, but I do provide a minimal input to be at least be sociable.
-
Well we live in very small county seems everyone finds everything out anyway
-
I don't think its anyones business but yours, what you do with your time off. If you want to share fine, but don't feel like you have to
-
I do sometimes share i mean ,but sometimes my husband and i just jump in car and go
-
Shouldn't have to explain, its nobodys business what you do on you "time off".
-
Well if u work for someone like in an office or store than u should explain that u need a summer vacation and u need time for ur self but if u work from home than u can take off whenever u want.
-
I DONT UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE HAS ASKED FOR THE SAME TIME OFF FOR STUPID REASONS.
-
I am on my summer vacation right now! In Florida. I am planning my next vacation for next year.
-
You don't have to tell anyone, but usually just talking with co-workers it comes up anyway. Usually that is no big deal, my time off is not a big secret.

Yeah that always seem to happen you tell one co-worker and when you leave and people started asking questions that one co-worker tells everybody. I really don't care most of the time I just spend time with family or just relax so if they want to know about that it is on them.

i think most jobs expect it. i hate when people lie though. sure the bosses make you feel you have to but i don't know.
-
I wish i could go on vacation, but cannot afford to right now. I could use some time away.
-
I think if u dont take alot of time off then no u shouldnt. U just have to say it is personal. They dont need details as a manager i never asked for details
-
Well Guess Vacation Is Going To Be Cancelled,No Job At All!!!!!!!!!!
