??? I can not believe it is already June and NO hurricanes has hit the USA as of yet. I guess this means they will be forming and making landfall weekly starting in August 2012.
I love the calm before the storm, natures way of saying HOUSTON we have a PROBLEM!!!

it's always nice to have a calm before storm. The hurricanes will, eventually maybe they will be as bad as Katrina was in New Orleans. But we can hope it's relating hurricane season this year. We have no control over the weather! The weather will be what the weather is we've had a bad tornado season this year! So maybe we won't have a very bad tornado hurricane season this year!! All we can do is cross our fingers and hope! The weather will do what the weather wants to do.I don't have to worry about tornadoes where I live I live in Oregon! We don't have tornadoes like you do down there in Houston! but you have a lot of rain sometimes and flooding up here and we have forest fires! So the weather is what the weather will be you and all you can do is hope for the best.

Where I live in Florida, we had that tropical storm that floods a LOT of Jacksonville. It was so close to being a hurricane, but it never actually became one. But we had HEAVY rain and wind for days. We needed the rain though, so it was nice.

Didn't know that, but that's a good thing. Maybe it'll be a rather calm season. I don't think anyone would be complaining if there weren't any hurricanes (well, except for those who would normally profit afterward). :peace:

I wish Colorado could get some hurricanes maybe it would help stop some of the fires

That is true! I live in NC and today there was just a big T-storm; I don't know if that's why the NBC channel isn't working. It has also been just plain HOT!!!

I'm in the mid-Atlantic now and wow! I've been through New England hurricanes and what we went through was absolutely equal. The power came back on last night after being off since Friday. I'm hearing parts of WV and MD are still without power, and may take up to a week. What's complicating it even more is we've got a week's worth of thunderstorms heading this way, making the cleanup and repair a kind of one-step forward, two-steps back deal.

Isn't it a tad early for hurricanes, granted, I've been out of hurricane states for quite a while, but I still watch for them...

Luckily, never know

Let's hope it stays that way. :(

I'm in the west and we had some vicious winds slightly earlier this year and possible chances of hurricane, which is not as commonly heard of as other parts of the country.

Maybe its because we are in a massive drought? just my thoughts
