A little sad because neighbors shot fireworks only to about 10. :( :crybaby2:
They normally do for longer. But, it's Otay I guess. At least i had and saw some this year. :P

I live a few houses down from a millionaire and he ALWAYS has a huge firework display (seems better than the one the city puts on). It was amazing as usual. Had a great time watching them.
-
We had a burn ban here so we watched the fireworks display put on by the city.
-
i'm hearing them now at 9 in the morning a bunch last night my dog barked like crazy till midnight glad just once a year
-
My husband and I are on vacation in North Carolina and saw a nice little show they put on here.
-
Heard them in the distance last night. But we use to live in a community where we heard none! Never figured out why - it wasn't a retirement neighborhood. I think fewer people spend money on them nowadays.

We have a fireworks ban. So only get to see shows put on by the city. Saw it from the lanai of my building. Got to see something so that was cool. Just wish the city didn't ban fireworks....so boring now.

I think the displays the towns put on have changed alot over the years and the audience as well. I remember that they were done alot more slowly and you could hear the oohs and ahhs from people watching them. Now they are shot off so fast that they kind of blend together, and even at the end you don't hear feedback from the audience. They used to clap their hands at the end. I admit it has been a long time since its been that way. I'm not a spring chick lol

Fireworks!
[/color] Love to see fireworks when I can! I did safety last night and didn't light any! When the cities and towns do the firework shows, I love to watch them! ;D

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July and a safe one.
-
i didnt see any fireworks on the fourth .. i saw them on the first, how silly ?
-
Are ban where I live, but people still light them up.
-
Not much happened in our neighborhood, but I heard them go off around the city. Glad I do not have any pets anymore as they used to freak out when the bangs started up.

Aww :) That sounds awesome.

The San Diego fireworks show was the best...EVER. Even though it lasted 15 seconds.
-
actually got to watch the city's firework show while waiting on my son to get off work. wasnt as good as they normally are, but still was nice to see some :)
-
My son and I enjoyed for about 30 min of a light show they had here. It was very nice and he really was excited.
-
our neighbors put on a great show all legal fireworks but were really nice and i could see the show from town too, it was great, but of course where i live the chicken crap they put on farm land started to smell so had to go in doors.

They are banned here on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Before then it was like a war zone all over the island. So much smoke, but it was fun. Now they have displays on the beaches. I think the city gave out 12 permits this year. But I didn't go. Now it's the traffic and parking that's murder. But I heard the booms!

I didn't get to go to see the fireworks this time at the Lake Union
-
Had a great display in my town this year. Last year they couldnt have them because of severe fires here. So they doubled up on them this year.
Was an awesome show. :)

I love fireworks too, but people DO need to be considerate. With the 4th falling on a "work night" for some people, cities shoud have required that people light them over the weekend when MOST people have off. I know it doesn't get late until dark, but COME ON PEOPLE!!!
:sad1:
-
I chose not to go, the heat this year was too much for me after spending the day at a grill out and pool party.
-
i could see a few fireworks from my house but thats it :icon_rr:
-
There were no fireworks where I live. It's too dry.
-
I was watching fireworks for about half hour maybe a little longer from the house.
-
We saw lots but we weren't that close. They do them off the battleship in the river. But this time we went to the opposite side of the river and just parked at a Scotchman store parking lot. Yet this parking lot got packed!! Next year I'm going back to the other side and gettn real close.
-
Several cities around here cancelled their displays because of the extreme fire danger but it didn't stop a bunch of my neighbors. Just saw it on TV but I thought the fireworks display error where they all went off together really was spectacular.
-
fireworks should be done by 10'00 10;30 at the latest poeple work the next day
-
Didn't have fireworks at our neighborhood this year, I think it's because of the city's budget.
-
I was brought up in Queens NY and used to go to the beach to watch the Fireworks displays every Wednesday night during the summer, They used to have a Barge off of Long Beach NY which was stationed there all the time and they just loaded the FW on the bardge Wednesdays. They were spectacular - at least 30 mins long every week, and 4th of july was even better, those were the days. That is when Business supported the event and payed for the weekly FW.

I love fireworks. LOVE THEM! They're just so awesome. I've seen how they make them too, and it's really neat. I'd love to be a firework tester. How cool would that be, making and testing fireworks for a living! ;D

I had neighbors lighting fireworks until 4 in the morning, I get up at 5 for work. NOT FUN!
