Title: Bizarre er stories
Post by: stretch1967 on July 13, 2012, 08:57:55 am
Has anyone checked out the bizarre er stories? It makes you wonder how many stupid people are out there. My brandson Matthew likes to put thngs inhis mouth. The other day he swallowed a penny. Luckily he crapped it out. The bizarre thing with that I logged onto the er website and they had a kid named Matthew and another little girl. Matthew swallowed some change and he didnt have to have surgery but the little girl did. They had thought she had swalloed a dime. They did surgery and actually had a quarter and a penny stuck in her throat.

I've never experienced anything bizarre first hand as far as the ER goes.  But I know a guy who swallowed a quarter when he was younger.  His sister was chasing him round and round trying to get it back from him so he popped it in his mouth.  She continued on with "give it back" and he said, "I can't I swallowed it."  The sister was older and realized this could be a potential danger.  Neither child wanted to interrupt there mother though...she was watching Dallas and they knew better to interrupt while she was watcher her show.  After a trip to the ER the Dr. declared that the quarter should pass.  Sure enough the prettiest quarter anyone had ever seen arrived - on Mothers Day of all things.  True Story!

No I haven't seen the Bizarre Er Stories before. I'm sure there's a lot of people that do swallow coins. I've heard of a few stories about swallowing coins. Doesn't sound like much fun to me!  :'(
