I like some of the ideas, but the execution of those ideas is what is scaring me... if we go anymore in debt our kids' kids' kids' kids' kids' children will be picking up the tab...

I think we need a change- I'm not for or against him, but I think we need a change. I agree that our debt is getting WAY out of control!!!

As much as I dislike admitting it, I am FOR President Obama. He is supporting "gay marriage", which is a huge issue to me. My brother is gay and I firmly believe he has the right to marry whoever he loves, regardless of gender. Obama has also promised to in-source jobs, rather than send them elsewhere. I'd like to see the unemployment rate drop below 8%. Obama is also pro-cannabis. Another huge issue. I do not partake in the use of cannabis, but I do support the MEDICINAL use of the cannabis plant. It is much cheaper and helps a lot faster than many "modern" medicines, and can be used to treat a HUGE variety of illnesses. What I do NOT support is ObamaCare- I pay a pretty penny for my health care, and although I do believe that everyone should have access to health care, but to give someone something for free when others have to pay a good part of their hard earned paycheck for it? Does this seem fair/like a good idea to anyone?

I think he is doing a great job and need one more term to really get the country on the right track.  He had a lot of sh_t to clean up after the Bushes.

Terrible, in my opinion.  Very divisive and dishonest, and while I tend to expect this as a default from politicians in general, he has carried it to a new level.  He has denied more requests for information than any other president making him the least transparent administration in history.  He has subverted the law of the land in multiple instances and failed in his duties to uphold his responsibilities to execute the laws.  He has repeatedly put the power of the federal government against the states and its peoples.  He has tried to micro manage the affairs of the American people while ensuring that all his bundlers and supporters received larger portions of the American coffers (which even has some liberals suggesting "damn, get a room").  He is so bad at his job that he makes me miss Carter....

First let me say that I think your topic is fine here and I find it funny that people are so picky about where it is posted. If someone doesn't like it posted here then just ignore it and don't respond.  I like Obama and support him. Yes, he has not yet been able to do all that he hoped to do. He has had a lot to contend with and I think he has done an admiral job with the challenges/obstacles that were placed before him. I will continue to support his presidency.

He will do and say anyhing to get votes and i don't see where he has really got much done. I also believe we are in big trouble if he gets back in. The guy had no experince on anything when he ran . How he got elected i will never no. Am not saying Rommey is not much better but at least he knows how to work and run some companies. Obama never worked at day in his life.

If you don't like Obamacare, DON'T vote for him! He may have introduced Obamacare in a backhanded, insidious manner, but if he is elected again he will come full-force with all kinds of pernicious schemes, because he will be term-limited. The only way to guarantee that perfidy does not ensue after a re-election is to proffer a candidate with true solid character, and that is something that no mainstream presidential candidate has possessed for years.

I apologize for all the recondite language, but I'm practicing my vocabulary for the GRE :)

I am not a fan of Obama nor Romney. It would be great if there was another viable candidate that enough people would be willing to vote for.

My word, I actually agree with Abrupt regarding the lack of transparency.

He's done good things, he's done bad things.  He's a zillion times better than Rmoney.

Oh Geez.... K Simonnetti.....Don't worship Obama for being in favor of gay marriage..... He holds no magic power over peoples votes on that issue. If the majority of people want it, they will vote it in. There are numerous states that allow it
( Iowa, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont)  Send your brother to one of those for God Sake and stop sniveling about it! ... . Can we not have peoples alternative life style shoved down our throats? And that goes for ALL alternative life styles, not just gays.

More important than a wedding is how many cities are offering "domestic partner registries" That way it allows each partner to act on each others behalf in case of emergencies. Also many big corpoations allow domestic partner vision/ health/ dental coverage for domestic partners as a dependant. Could we not focus more on love and companionship and protection and caretaking than a stupid piece of paper?   :BangHead:

I get so sick and tired of Obama and his peeps blaming everything on Bush; grow up!!  Get a grip!!  He's been in office 3 1/2 yrs and has done SQUAT for anybody except his friends.  Does it not bother any of you pot-smoking junkies that he made a secret (what he thought was secret) pledge to the russians to wait till he gets in his second term and then things will be much better between the russians and him???  Does the high unemployment rate in this country not bother you?  Does the fact that he is spending our taxpayer dollars on flying himself, Michelle and all their friends on 30 jets around the world on expensive vacations?  Does the fact that he has not had any meetings with key people in over 2 months not send up a red flag?    Does the fact that he is campaigning and leaving the cities he campaigns in to foot the bill for all the security??  Romney at least has the decency to pay his own way while he is camplaigning.  WAKE UP!!  Re-elect Obama and you might as well bend over and kiss your rump goodbye for the American way of life.  We will be a socialist country and everyone will HAVE to get in line for government hand-outs and we all know how much the government loves to give it to us!!   The way I see it, if you can't see what Obama and his cronies are up to, you need glasses!
